Detailed Reviews
We booked a number of apartments for a family vacation this January school holiday. Overall, the apartments worked, and though we were in differing blocks within the resort, the layout of the apartment blocks & pathways were easy to navigate, and not maze like. The grounds of the resort were extremely well kept, the swimming pools clean, and the barbeque areas a relaxing shady spot to stop. We were very happy booking three apartments for a family vacation. Our complaints are few: 1. If you are expecting, as we did, easy access to the tennis court, which, is advertised as being a resort facility, you will be disappointed. The tennis court is on a shared corridor of land, operated by the 'club like bistro' next door. Unlike many resorts where use of facilities is included in the rack rate, not so the tennis court at Flynns Beach Resort. 2. The apartments are advertised as fully self-contained, but there was no conventional oven in our top floor 'premier' apartment, nor was the kitchen kitted out with kitchen appliances beyond the basic. 3. Cutlery, flatware & dinnerware was odd and incomplete.
Apart from those complaints, we recommend Flynns Beach Resort for families. Young families could easily spend the whole day at the pool and the welcoming green space, without ever walking down the little hill to the scenic Flynns Beach or taking in the views on the 9km coastal walk.

Thank you for your feedback. So pleased your group enjoyed your stay. While the tennis court is now operated separate it is still available to Resort Guests who have easy access to the booking system. All units in the resort are equipped with a convection/microwave oven and has the usual kitchen appliances. Should any guest require extra dinnerware etc. they just have to ask at reception. Flynns Beach Resort is a family Resort with large BBQ areas which are perfect for family groups. We hope to see you again.

When you stay at a hotel or resort you are always looking for the answer to the question, would you stay here again? Answer YES!!. This place was brilliant. From the contactless self check in to the secure parking to the apartment itself it was hard to fault anything . The apartment was spacious, clean and very well maintained. Large bedrooms with comfortable beds, great bathroom and a well stocked kitchen area all topped off with a furnished balcony. Location was great, across the road from Flynn's Beach and about 5 minutes from Port Macquarie township.

Stayed for a week - great location less than 10mins drive to busy CBD and restaurants. Two bedroom apartment looking over the beautifully maintained gardens. Spotless apartment, BBQs cleaned like new every day. On site bar, restaurant + two great pools. Surprising amount of wildlife (lizards, bats, bush turkeys) which the kids loved. Free Netflix in our apartment on a big screen TV an unexpected bonus. Patrolled beach less than five minutes walk away, as well as shops and restaurants. Would stay again.

After booking well in advance and requesting disabled unit we were denied the unit told it was first in best dressed.. to add insult to injury I had to navigate myself on a walker up 3 and half flights stairs, whilst my step daughter had to carry her nearly 8 month bub up and down the stairs. The internet was very slow when was working but majority of times wasn’t available. The stay Itself was fine it’s just the staff that are the problem.. checking out today I get a call to say I’ve been hit with $200 cleaning bill as the rooms smell the lounge and carpets were dirty ... so NOT TRUE we vacuumed everywhere this morning stripped single beds washed dried sheets and did all washing up and removed rubbish. The only bed we didn’t strip was main bed as we used it for changing bub this morning... we had disinfected rooms with glen 20... reception claimed they had to wash curtains and have lounge and carpets cleaned.. I call lies

Flynns Beach Resort has one disabled unit and as you were advised when you booked this was not available for the dates you requested. You chose a spa unit which was located on the second floor so up one flight of stairs. A cleaning fee is very rarely charged by the Resort and only in exceptional circumstances.

Firstly no lifts and top floor apartment. Had to drag all the luggage up the stairs. The plus side was that we could see the ocean. The place was on a busy main road (loud traffic noises),had shops in walking distance. Not absolute beach front, had to walk a few minutes to get to the beach. Had 2 pools, tennis court and a playground. Had 2 playgrounds but one was inaccessible as the bridge leading to it was broken. The apartment was clean and tidy. Had a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. We stayed 3 nights and they gave us no washing powder. When we asked at reception, they said we had to buy our own because we are only staying 3 nights. When you have small children like us, you have lots of washing and it would have been nice to not have to drag all our dirty clothes home. If you want to offer pools and the beach, you could at least provide one lousy thing of washing powder. Also one bin liner and one towel each for 3 days. Overall was a decent place to stay. Nice landscaping and wildlife. Would visit again and bring washing powder next time!!

Flynns Beach Resort is well positioned for the beach holiday. The resort is a few minute walk to a great beach with a great little Surf Club Cafe.
The resort is ideal for families with 2 pools and good BBQ facilities. It good get a bit noisy in peak periods so keep that in mind if you are looking for a bit of quiet relaxing. The rooms are a bit dated but were very clean & comfortable. Comfortable bed but an awkward shower as it doubles up as a spa.
The resort has a direct gate to the Blue Water Hotel which is a nice place to dine or have a afternoon drink. A couple of small restaurants are located a short walk away as well.
For those who love a walk - they have a great coastal road just out the front. Well worth the effort

Stayed here for 6 nights in may. Surprised how good the unit was, extremely clean and airy, the kitchen and bathroom was spotless and our bedroom was excellent as well. The Samsung smart TVs was a real surprise and actually worked properly as well, allowing access to Foxtel, Netflix, Kayo and lots of other online streaming apps. Good size lock up garage with a wash machine and dryer within same. Walking distance to some restos and cafes along with very close access for the beautiful beach. So glad we chose this place to stay, it made for a wonderful relaxing week.

Lovely apartment, well maintained & extremely clean. Spacious modern two bedroom. Ideal for a self catering holiday. The whole resort appears well looked after, the grounds, pool etc. very inviting. A bonus is all the amazing wildlife you can expect to encounter there (including kookaburras, water dragons, bush turkeys), all surrounded by lush vegetation & fragrant flowers. Would love to return.

Fly's Beach Resort was better than expected and fully lived up to the good reviews. Clean, spacious and cheerful two bedroom unit, very well maintained, good locations and good management. Tropical gardens, good parking. Only negative was poor wifi which could be easily fixed. You get a better daily rate for 5 nights or more so good value too.
