With visitors from N.Ireland we were given a very friendly welcome by Patty and enjoyed the elegance of the White and Black bedrooms as well as the main sitting room. Tasty biscuits etc offered for supper as well as a lavish and delicious breakfast. It was indeed a privilege to stay in this historic family home.

Spacious and comfortable although the stairs to the room are steep with a heavy staircase. Convenient location in the town, car parking available on site and breakfast is available at an additional cost. Separate communal lounge area available down stairs.

It is pleasing to hear your constructive remarks, with these elderly buildings it is hard to correct past building practices, I agree with your comment. The 1870's building was the first two story building built in Mount Gambier and was built with the first flushing toilet that caused considerable interest with queue's visiting the premises to witness the event. Colhurst House is a magnificent old world building surrounded by well kept grounds. Lovely verandah all around the building too. We were allocated the Green Room (ground floor) which has an extensive ensuite bathroom. The king bed was most comfortable. Plenty of everything you might want was readily to hand. The shared lounge area was large and gracious. Plentiful light...

We really enjoyed Colhurst House. It had bags of character but modern bathrooms. The breakfasts were outstanding. The communal areas were lovely and comfortable. The lady who runs the place was pleasant and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay.

My wife and I arrived on a Tuesday afternoon for a nights stay and there was no one in attendance. After a 20 minute treasure hunt I managed to find an envelope on the rear window sill with our room keys in it with a scribbled not saying call my mobile if you need anything. We were not informed prior...

Charming and old world. Patty Welcomed us with a pre-heated room on a cold & rainy afternoon. This B&B has so much to offer, you are not left wanting, help yourself to a fresh slice of cake, tea, coffee, biscuits etc. Enjoy a good movie, a quiet read, or listen to some music in the elegant lounge or the privacy...

Colhurst House is a delightful old home, beautifully decorated with no two rooms alike. Nothing is too much trouble for host Patty and the breakfast home made granola is to die for! Lovely to have a sofa in our room to relax on. Thank you Patty for your kindness. The pantry room downstairs is easy to access and well supplied...
