We booked at what we expecting to be budget pub accommodation, but what a nice surprise: great modern rooms, very friendly and helpful staff. All for a very good price! The location was nice, parking was easy, and the street was lined with restaurants and cafe's.

Stayed a night after we arrived on a day sailing and were pleasantly surprised as we only paid around $70 for the room with ensuite. Spotlessly clean with up to date decor and friendly service at check in. So good we stayed another night on the return trip. Very comfortable room and the location means an an easy walk into...

This place was great. We booked 2 nights and ended up staying 3 coz it was so affordable and in such a great spot (cafes and grocers close by plus a pub just underneath!). The staff were friendly, the room was spacious and warm with natural light. And we had our own bathroom. You do have to duck across the...

Like a mixed grill. This one was made for a caveman. A delightful feed. The service was friendly and prompt. Located within walking distance of the city centre with other cafes adjacent, this place is certainly worth a visit for dinner.

I cannot speak highly enough of this hotel. We were made to feel so welcome on arrival, the bar man stayed back late to check us in and then offered us free beer. The rooms were immaculate, very clean and well presented and larger than expected. There was a nice breeze that came through the window. Even though we were...

This was my last night in Tasmania & since I was booked on an early flight; I wanted cheap accommodation for my single night in Launceston. I was welcomed warmly & able to check in & drop my luggage in my room 3 hours earlier than anticipated. My private bathroom was conveniently located just a few steps down the hallway....

The location is perfect for Launceston. Caught the airport shuttle to Cimitiere St, Launceston transit centre, but it will drop you at your Hotel if you need to. Sportsman Hotel is a pub venue & bistro. The bistro looks nice, with an open fire, but never ate in there. The pub is just like a public bar, nothing fancy. The...

I decided to stay a week here at Launceston. The rooms are spacious, great value and recently rennovated. On Monday Night you have Chicken Parmagana at $15 and they are great value My only complaint is ask for a room away from the noise and remember to open the window as the person who occupied the room before me was...

Good location, free parking. A little bit strange that the bathroom is located outside of the room, but it saved some money, and wasn't an issue. It is your own private bathroom, with clean towels. I wasn't expecting much for the price, but was quite impressed. Very clean, modern rooms. Even a powerboard to plug in your phone! We stayed...

The hotel was built in 1890 and has been recently renovated, keeping to the original style. Our room had a new en suite area and had been recently painted. It was clean and comfortable. The room had high ceilings and was spacious. The bathroom area was huge with a walk in shower. There is a separate access to the accommodation...
