Quaintly appointed but showing signs of wear. Our air conditioner was very noisy and couldn't be kept on overnight when it was cold ☹️ the bed was comfortable and the towels were soft. Tea and coffee provided.

If you want to be in 5 min walking distance to Cataract Gorge the Old Bakery Inn is the place to stay! Walk to the river cruise booking office and boardwalk with breakfast and dinning cafes. Also a 10 min walk to the walk around the Gorge. About a 20 minute easy walk along the edge of the Gorge to...

My husband and I were extremely impressed with the atmosphere and helpful, cheerful staff during our stay at the Old Bakery Inn last weekend. The room was cottage style, with all the mod cons you need - a kettle to make a warm cuppa, the heater, the electric blanket, the telly with various channels, a courtyard to sit in, even...

This was a fantastic place to stay. All the staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly. The rooms were beautiful and clean and it's right in the heart of town. The rooms were wonderfully decorated with period features and the bed was very comfortable. We even had a great little balcony to sit on in the sun. Overall I would highly...

This is a beautiful old hotel which has been magnificently restored. Located within walking distance from several hotels and restaurants, it also has off street parking. Although it is on one of the cities main roads, we couldn't hear any traffic noise from our room. The bed was itself was extremely comfortable. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would certainly...

We really enjoyed our room and the whole bakery inn experience. Maybe it was because it was so cold outside and cosy inside. The room was fine. Just what we expected. We had the queen size. Plenty of room. Good size comfy bed. We never made it to breakfast as it was between 7 and 9. On site parking. We...

Our room was clean and right next to a busy road, however their soundproofing is good and we didnt really hear much. A heatpump in the room was welcome as it was a bit chilly when we were there. Be aware there is no WIFI. I think the hotel needs to address this, think how much money you could make...

Very friendly staff. The room we had was renovated- modern spacious shower compared to other places. Bed was comfy. Continental breakfast fairly basic but were able to provide soy milk when asked. Good for a stop, to explore and fill in time.

Just about nice for this accommodation - the actual hotel is quite impressive from a historical point of view. The room was clean and ok but as my husband pointed out (he's an electrician) the fan above the shower is a complete no-no. Staff checking in was a bit abrupt (male) but the lady checking out was pleasant enough.
