Visited Launceston for business and our company chose the Grand as our base. An excellent decision as the staff were courteous and welcoming and my room was a great place to relax after a day's brainstorming.

Beautiful room with city views. Air con and heating worked perfectly and the bed, well what can I say....very very comfortable. Close to the city, we looked out over Yorktown Square right in the city centre. Walking distance to most shopping, eating and entertainment venues. Great place and will definitely book again.

Good, centrally located hotel. The bedroom was clean and spacious, but there was no proper airconditioning in our room, rather a very noisy Dimplex unit, ducted out through the wall, so presumably it was a permanent fixture. It was impossible to sleep with the noise it made and when it was turned off, the room was stuffy...had to resort to...

Elegant, and guests are well catered for. Lovely little touches such as bathroom items in case guests neglected to pack small essentials. Friendly professional service in a charming, elegant building.

Stayed at the Grand for 3 nights, walking distance to all of Launcestons attractions and restaurants. It is around a $ 25.00 taxi fare to the Casino. Rooms well appointed, had a drink or two in the Lobby bar but we did not use the restaurant. Staff very efficient and friendly.

An excellently presented & operated hotel. The room was a good size. The bar & restaurant were great. The only thing that I was not happy with was that free parking was not included in the room tariff.

I stayed in one of the refurbished King rooms, on the top floor & it was very quiet. Bowl of fruit & 1L water bottle were a nice welcome. Huge room, classy decor, nice view over city. It was an actual King size bed, not 2 single beds shoved together. Very comfy. Really liked the luggage/open wardrobe area, with a...

Recently stayed one night, very spacious room, lots of seating ,comfortable bed, and good bathroom Only downside was the noisy aircon as stated in previous reviews but as it wasn't very hot it wasn't too much of an issue for us, also the windows can be opened. Very good restaurant , food and service very good for both dinner and...

Value for money, excellent location and friendly staff. Rooms are comfortable (tho my second stay was in a room near the a/c fan - very noisy but it was late and I was too tired to change rooms which next day they said they could have done). I would definitely stay here again. Comfortable, spacious rooms.

Hotel is central in Launceston- is a bit tired but clean tidy. Disappointing that parking is extra and only minimum free Wifi. Only basic air cooling not air conditioned fully. Desk staff could have been friendlier.
