Possibly the coldest hostel in the known world! They don't turn the heating on until 7pm and even then it's only in the rooms so everywhere else was still freezing! Beds were pretty uncomfortable too, though my main concern was hypothermia...More

Very very cold room. Heater turns on at 7pm and off at 7am. Still extremely cold at night. Water pressure was almost nothing during the night as well. Seems the owners are very cheap and don't want to invest back into the hostel. Went here...More

I had such a great experience staying here. There was plenty of information on things to do in the area and the staff was really helpful. Great value. The kitchen was clean and so were the rooms. Very spacious and comfortable in a good location....More

Hello Karen G.....yes we do actually have an age limit at Launceston Backpackers. Our policy is anyone under the age of 130 can stay.
