Having had the pleasure of enjoying Hobart last year, I decided to pay Launceston a visit. Accor was kind enough to upgrade my membership to platinum and with that come some useful perks which include Hertz President Circle status. After going through the Accor list and reading Tripadvisor reviews, I decided to give Mercure a try. Received a call prior...

We had a brief overnight stay at the Mercure Launceston recently. Parking was ample and easily accessible. Reception, bar and breakfast staff were all very polite, friendly and helpful. The room, although probably in need of new carpet, was warm and inviting. We stayed in a King suite for a very good price. The bed was the most comfortable hotel...

Brilliant staff have been fantastic and always very friendly and helpful.. Pillows were horrific (personal preference ) and after two nights they sorted me out with a smaller pillow... The restaurant brekkie was fantastic although the restaurant started abit late (07:00) for me as I had to depart early most mornings. Nothing bad to say about rooms etc.

Thanks Terji. Most people love the big fluffy pillows to match the posturepedic bed, however, it's very individual so we have extra pillows available at reception - we're pleased we were able to arrange a smaller one for you. Thanks for letting us know how much you loved the service!

I arrived late in the day without a reservation and was fortunate that there was a room still available. Reception and wait staff including lovely ladies Logan and Nicky were pleasant and professional, and quite interested in hearing about my day and plans. The room had a lovely decor with a view over the city park, the usual tea, coffee...

Being an Accor plus member the rates for this hotel are very competitive, often around 100$ a night. I have not stayed in the unrestored rooms but the newer Mercure queen and king bed privilege rooms are value for money. Comfortable bed, large enough, clean bathroom, very big with the footy channels, in short all that you need. It is...

The place is really clean and you have everything that you could need, an amazing and comfortable bed, tv, internet, also the staff is so kind and friendly. Furthermore the place has a good location it is just 5 minuted walking to the CBD. Don't believe about the noise it's not true at least for me

Thank you for your feedback. We've double glazed our windows for the Park View rooms which is why you didn't find the noise an issue. Thanks for letting your fellow travellers know!

Was the most comfortable bed and pillows we have experienced in a motel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was well cleaned and very comfortable. However the shower could do with a better water pressure.

The water pressure in the Mercure rooms is amazing. You may have stayed in our sister property Hotel Launceston Scott? Please let us know which room so we can review it. Thank you.

Spent the weekend at the Mercure to catch up with family. Love the fact as an Accor member we could extend our check out time until 1pm. Gave us the opportunity to have a lazy start to our Sunday morning after a big day on Saturday with a great view.
