A little aside but fantastic place with great people. Launceston was our first place in Tasmania. We've reached Family Motor Inn late night and tired, and we felt so welcome. The owners awaited us and room was spacious and clean. We were given cute bottle of milk and in our room coffee and tea were waiting. In the morning we...

Stayed the night with my wife in room #5. Double bed + Single bed (even though we requested 1 queen). Room was a decent size. Free wifi (with 300mb limit) but TV was tiny. The room comes with a mini fridge (with some leftovers from previous room-stayers) and a microwave. Staff offered us fresh milk for tea and coffee in...

Last month I travelled to the beautiful City of Launceston, while I was there I stayed at the VFMI which for me having no transport it was location location, location. With P/T nearby or an easy downhill walk into the City it was a great opportunity to check out some of the old buildings and homes that are there. Upon...

I am always traveling to Tasmania for business, and there is no where else i would rather stay than the VFMI! The accommodating staff, the well kept grounds and the beautiful food is enough to say the least. The rooms themselves are exactly what you would expect, staying in a 3 star motor inn! They are clean, cosy and comfortable!...

Arriving was a nice surprise, looked very charming and well kept. Family room was suitable for a nights stay, had everything you need. Rooms were outdated and bathroom felt like a communal caravan park restroom with the old coloured tiles, whilst it was clean I couldn't help myself but feel the need to were my thongs whilst showering. Stairs sounded...

what a refreshing feeling after a big day of adventure to come and check in to a motor Inn.. and feel like your the only people there almost immediately after arriving. Pam was just awesome, checking us in with a massive smile, giving us the local run down of Launceston, and answering all the questions we had without hesitation. The...

We stayed recently and it has taken me some days to reflect upon all the assets of this establishment. And so, overall I would compare this place with a well maintained classic car. Why? Well looking at what it offers it must have been the talk of the town back when it opened! WoW. But, the grounds are magnificent, and...

The views beyond the immaculate grounds are almost as good as the wood fire pizzas! Staff are beyond amazing and can't do enough for you. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Will definitely stay again.

This motel would have been majestic in its day . Beautiful views in a just out of town location . Rooms are huge but very dated. Beds old and hard. It was very clean but our room smelled of stale smoke. The continental breakfast adequate for us but don't expect anything more than cereal and toast. Biggest problem for me...
