This hotel really exceeded our expectations. We had a fabulous room (21) on the first floor with huge dual aspect windows looking over Launceston and our own private balcony. Bed was super comfortable and everything was a short walk away. Internet is limited (you are provided a voucher with a limited MB) but the staff were really good and provided...

The manager James Marshall ( owner ) needs to re learn customer service / abrupt rude , not helpful / we specifically asked for twin beds to be set up in our 2nd room for our 2 young children / this was a request on booking.com which im sure the hotel gets plenty of traction from. I called reception to...

James, the reception is very friendly and helpful. We love our room, it is spacious and great view from balcony. Very clean room too. The bed is not too soft, just perfect. Will come back again in the future

I loved staying here before and after a walking holiday. An old converted convent on a hill, about 10-15 mins walk from the city centre. Spacious, comfortable rooms, super-comfortable bed with crisp white sheets and excellent ensuite bathroom. It's a private hotel, so no bar or restaurant but there's a well-stocked mini bar and various eating options nearby. Plenty of...

What a lovely alternative to the run of the mill chain hotel. This place has a fantastic ambience, is well run by James, and I couldn't really fault anything about it. The view from the front balconies is beautiful - can just about see all of Launceston.

Great location to city and Cataract gorge. We stayed on the bottom floor and were really happy with the room. Very large and spacious with great bathroom. Stocked mini bar if you want anything. Only complaint is that the room was a bit stuffy as there are no windows to open and get fresh air inside. Also don't try to...

James runs this hotel and is a font of helpful information about attractions and restaurants. The rooms are perfectly clean, the garden is well kept. There's free internet and parking. It's a convenient, easy walk to town and Cataract Gorge. Our room was a bit small, others appeared bigger. The bathroom was modern, clean, well lit. The room had a...

Totally excellent place to stay in Launceston. Close to the centre of town, magnificent views from the upper level communal balconies, fascinating artworks on all the walls, exceptional attention to small details that made our stay pleasant. Highly recommended. Added bonus: staying in an old convent. You can hear the old nuns whispering in the night.

Auldington is a boutique hotel with lots of character. We had a very comfortable King bed and the hotel is well located only a 10 minute walk to Launceston CBD and a 20 minute walk to Cataract Gorge. The receptionist pointed us to a fabulous café just down the road where we enjoyed really great coffee and a delicious breakfast.

Thank Bernie B
