A lovely night's sleep on a comfortable bed. Not too much street noise. Shower head didn't adjust. Room was very hot but cooled with open window. Central location (right on the square) was great and allowed for easy transport connections.

Overnight stay for a quick work trip. Check in staff was friendly and helpful. The room was spartan but clean. For a budget price, the room offered a great view onto the square and all that one would expect for the price. Bed was comfortable and pillows were just right. There was a good selection of teas and coffees provided...

This is accommodation right on the Square in Palmerston North. It's hard to imagine how one could get anything more central. The single room that I booked was everything that it said it would be. It was pretty small, but compact with a shower an toilet that both worked perfectly. There were some nice touches with a filter coffee maker...

I stayed at a refurbished serviced Studio Apartment on the 6th floor for 3 nights. The apartment was spacious, super clean and had everything a traveller would need - a comfortable double bed, nice soft pillows, excellent shower, fridge, kitchenette with microwave oven, cutlery, jug, coffee and tea sachets, with a phone. Free covered parking was available on level 2....

This review applies to both the Student hostel side, as well as the studio unit side of the accommodation provider. Stayed at the hub for ther duration of the university academic year. Staff were friendly and easy to approach. I spent a few months in the student hostel side then the duration of my stay in the studio unit side...

This review applies to a long-term studio unit rental. My room was clean and functional. Most of the staff were helpful albeit more used to dealing with students. Note that when they say you need to provide your own linen, this is not the usual definition of 'linen' - you need to supply blankets and pillows as well as sheets...

This was without a doubt the worst accommodation I have ever experienced. In case you are encouraged by the photos on their website, the room we were given was MUCH more basic, which would actually have been OK... if it was clean. Unfortunately this was definitely not the case. The bathroom was absolutely filthy, grime caked on the bottom of...

The first room I was placed in was horrendous. The whole room was filthy and the bath room was caked in dirt. Extremely unhygienic. Furthermore, the kitchen utensils I had ordered were nowhere to be seen. The second room was a little better, but the bath room was dirty there as well, and was not properly cleaned until I had...

This person is a disgruntled ex-tenant who rented an apartment, they were not a motel guest. We run 2 different businesses, serviced accommodation, and flat rentals. There are over 100 flats for rent. Unfortunately we have no way of preventing ex-tenants from posting reviews on this website which have nothing to do with our serviced accommodation motel business.

I decided to stay @ the Hub because it seemed like a good place to have my own space - yet be able to socialise with other people too. How wrong could I be!? The receptionist was very unwelcoming to start. Upon entering my room I saw it was small and dirty and cold AND missing half the furniture! The...

I chose to stay at @ The Hub based on its website. The backpacker rooms and communal areas looked cosy and clean, and for $40 for a 1-person room with an en-suite, it seemed like the best value for money in Palmerston North. BUT...reality: The outside of the building is dirty, 'free parking' is severely limited (18 places - most...

“Get a room a south-facing room or a room on the higher floors facing east. These have the best views. And try not to get a room close to the elevators, when I first moved into the studio apartment side it took me a while to get used to the sound of the elevator. Although, those rooms are generally the larger single person rooms with a large bathroom. Under all circumstances, do not get a room on level 2 facing east. You will regret it after you look outside your window and see a roof filled with rubbish and waste that inconsiderate tennant like to chuck outside their windows.”

“I'd recommend getting a room on the front of the building as the back overlooks a pub that is very noisy on weekend nights.”
