Thanks for your great review! Glad to hear that you all enjoyed your brothers 50th Birthday celebrations. Yes it is pretty cool up here at the Lodge. Hope you get a chance to come back some time, see how fast our deer grows! Mandy :)

Hard to believe that this sort of place still exists! Remote and scenic, hosts are welcoming to what is a working farm that does tourism. Rooms comfortable. Food great and just what us tired cyclists wanted!!! Loved the encounter with Bambi and all the other animals. Also great value. Donut Dave also fantastic tour guide and boat skipper. Small issue...

A simple hotel looking over the Whanganui river, near the track to the Bridge to Nowhere. Great location, expansive views from the deck, friendly, country food, temperamental showers, OK rooms, shared bathrooms, interesting mix of people staying. A night's stay makes a good break in what is otherwise a full day (jetboat up the river an hour from Pipiriki, 45...

Thanks for your review. The Lodge is definitely one of a kind in the area and as you said amazing views. The showers are going to be fully re done over the winter period so hopefully next season they will be awesome. When you think that all materials to build the Lodge and all furniture was brought up by jet...

We did the Bridge to Nowhere Jet boat trip to the Bridge to Nowhere and stayed at the Lodge. It was an exciting and interesting trip to see an isolated part of NZ and discover some of it's history. All the staff were helpful and friendly. The Lodge was excellent slice off back country NZ. Some degree of physical fitness...

Simply biked the trail and met Dave at the bridge to nowhere. We were scheduled to travel on the 4 pm jet boat. He did everything he could to get us sorted and on the 2 pm. Once back at Pipiriki he also did everything he could to make sure we were sorted and able to cycle back with ease...

Was a great warm welcome after coming off the bike trail. Great assistance to get to our rooms with our gears. Yum nibbles and drinks after organizing ourselves. Clean facilities. Beds where great and the meals and packed lunch was fantastic, more than any of us could eat. Amazingly efficiently run. Brilliant place to stay.

Room was nice, clean and comfortable. Dinner was delicious. Amazing scenery, semi tame animals around the property to amuse, people were great and made sure...

Hey there thanks for the awesome review. Up the Whanganui River and at BTN Lodge are pretty special part of NZ. Yes we have had a number ofnegative comments about the Kaiwhakauka track. It is a designated walking track and has not be upgraded the way the Mangapurua Track has. It is I think listed as part of the Te...

We had a great stay here Dinner was very tasty and heaps of it Wine was reasonably priced. Our room was very comfortable but due to the number of us some couples had bunk rooms. My only minus is the bathrooms. Bathroom is two shower cubicles with a joint access area. Which worked fine but was a bit of a...

I stayed at the Ramanui Campground (I also heard it referred to as "Joe's", but it's also attached to the Bridge to Nowhere Lodge - all in all, confusing) while on a Whanganui River canoe journey. We camped on a tent site. There are also small cabins available. Given that everything has to be carried in by boat or helicopter,...
