My sister & I spent New Year with Carole & Richard and we could not have been given a warmer welcome to the local community. The setting is idyllic and the accommodation first rate. Many thanks and we would recommend anyone to stay here. You will not find better.

Hi, Thank you so much for the review, it is most appreciated. It was lovely having you at the New Year party and pleased you enjoyed it. It is surprising how much history the area has. Was pleased you were able to see some of the sights that we had on the slide show quiz. After a day of rain...

This beautiful bed and breakfast is off the beaten path and that is exactly what I was seeking. Although just 30 minutes on good road from Whangarei, you are in splendid isolation. From my spacious bedroom, I looked down a forested valley. The view may remind some guests of a "treetops" experience that is available at an African game reserve...

What a lovely review. Thank you for taking the time and trouble to give such nice feedback about your stay with us. Also pleased that the weather was kind and you managed to see the solar eclipse. Mount Manaia is a great location and you can see why it's called the mystic mountain. We are into the final two weeks...

My wife and I stayed at Eden House for three nights early November 2012 and really enjoyed our stay. Our hosts, Richard and Carole, were very welcoming as we arrived and proved to be obliging as they helped us with our orientation and directions on how to get to the sights that the area has to offer. After spending five...

Hi Guys, Thank you so much for your review, it is really appreciated. It was a delight having you stay here at Eden House. And the weather was so good, after a very poor start to our spring. Today the forecast was for rain and I'm now staring out at blue skies... Though mist is obscuring the coastline. The birds...

Came back to Eden House for a quick couple of days during NZ's winter! It's a lovely area and some of the local scenery is wonderful. If you come then don't miss Smugglers Bay. It's a short walk over a hill then down to a beach which both times I've visited has been deserted! Nearby A H Reed memorial park...

The bedrooms are very good, our was the Queen room. Shower...

Carole and Richard leave nothing to chance at Eden House. Views are fantastic, meals are out of this world, accommodations are cozy and the setting is ideal for relaxation! Upon arrival, Richard asked what we intended to see while in Whangarei. Of course we had way to much planned for our three days. He and Carole had prepared one day...

Hi Bob and Annette, What a wonderful review, thank you so much for doing that. It really gives us a lift when we know that our guests have enjoyed their stay so much. We spent seven days in this resort. Lovely hosts: Carole & Richard. They prepared excellent meals. It is really a piece of paradise: so beautiful; quiet; wonderful view from the balcony; nice garden and a very special own native tree forest. We can recommend this for 100%!

We travelled NZ for 3 over weeks. This was our first B&B and it set a very high standard. It is a bit out of town but the views are superb and the room, food and hospitality were excellent. We asked for an evening meal for the first night and that was also very good.

Richard and Carole are wonderful hosts. The rooms are beautiful with lots of individual character. Spotlessly clean but not sterile. A wealth of books, dvds and conversation when wanted.
