My family and I went here for dinner as others had organised it.I asked if we could order some bar food as the children were hungry before we were ready. We had checked the menu on line but were told they would cook nothing and we would have to have the buffet. At $38 I was not paying this for children.Eventually we...

We booked this hotel at the Information centre when we called in for accommodation and was not disappointed. It was a double room, small but adequate for two nights. Breakfast was good with cereals, fruit, and hot selection. Staff were friendly and helpful. We didn't have the evening meal as we could walk to the quay, where there were other...

As review below, good start, but "The Superior" room left much to be desired. No cutlery, bottle opener, air con, no bowls (so you had to have their breakfast) and had to fill the kettle with a cup since it didn't fit under the tap. Did have a heater on the wall (in a sub tropical environment!!). Bed was comfortable...

We stayed here 7 nights, and enjoyed our stay. It's important to know that this hotel has different room sizes which vary from the very small to reasonably spacious. We stayed in an Executive Studio, the largest size, which was very comfortable, and had the benefit of a (shared) balcony with a pleasant view of trees, river and road. We...

First, to start on a positive note: easy to make a booking for 3 nights and pre-paid which included breakfast - all this was hassle-free; easy and ample off-street parking; the room (upstairs) was clean and appeared to be recently rennovated & carpeted, with a large (in relation to the studio room) flatscreen TV; an extremely comfortable bed.........However, no cutlery,...

Booked in last minute, room was extremely stuffy and air con machine didn't work. Shower very weak. Breakfast buffet very nice. Stayed for one night. $160 for a room very overpriced for the area. Wouldn't stay again.

Needed a bed for a night during a busy time in Whangarei. Would not have been my choice but it was clean and the bed comfortable but certainly the motel is in dire need of upgrading. Room hard to find with a strange arrangement of doors into the unit and unit numbering around the back. Room very hot with no...

I have stayed at the Settlers a few times usually one or two nights at a hundred and fifteen dollars a night plus dinner. I find the rooms comfortable, clean and quiet and i have always had a good nights sleep.

Checked in on 28th Jan and stayed for a night. Room is clean and tidy. Booked a garden view room but not sure if it's worthy it or not as I wasn't sure what to enjoy for the view. However, breakfast was good and staff is friendly enough. Plenty of parking space. Fast free WI-FI. Looks a bit old buildings...

The place needs a make over. My apartment was ok apart from the bathroom which was in urgent need of upgrading. Ceiling coming to pieces and the wall paneling starting to seperate. Last time I stayed (3years ago) I was in an upstairs room and that was a lot better.
