Greymouth is a boring town and there is no reason to actually visit it. If you do happen to stop there on the way north/south, Noah's is a good place to stop. A cosy veteran hostel which has large common areas. The rate of bathrooms/toilets to rooms is lacking and. Location is close to downtown which is a ghost town....

Staff was very nice. We only stayed here one night. The "cat room" was lovely and very comfy. What I personally find annoying is the fact that the kitchen facilities close at 10pm. Don't like that kind of restrictions.

My wife and I checked in for a night at Noah's. I usually don't fuss about stuff unless it is really bad. The double room we got was freezing. It had a single heater that ran on a timer for about 2 mins. So we were freezing the whole night. There was one shower and toilet on our level of...

Excellent kitchen with free provision of spices & condiments. Although the kitchen is small, an island table allows for efficient sharing. There are both baking ovens n microwave ovens which alllows for fast cooking or elaborate feasting. Regular cleaning by their live in workers takes place after dinner time and does not interrupt residents' activities. Excellent lounge area with two...

We loved it, so quiet, such a pretty place. It's like a home. We had a warm greeting, the owners are really nice. The only thing we weren't happy about, which is not too bad. Is that they stacked all of us in the same dorm when an other one (same size) was empty. I recommend this hostel and greymouth!

We stayed in Noah's Ark for two nights in a 6 bed dorm room. The staff were lovely, especially the owners. Good kitchen facilities and nice big TV and dining room area. One area which could use improvement is the lack of hygiene. We were asked to bring our pillow cases and a flat sheet before we checked out for...

Booked a triple room which was spacious. However, does not come with electric blanket and the room was provided with a small electric heater which wasn’t sufficient to heat up the room. The bathrooms were ok and the kitchen is fully equipped.

We loved our time at Noah's Ark Backpackers, each room has a animal theme. We stayed in the Cat room this time. The hostel is well appointed and we never had to wait to take a shower, the staff is helpful and always around with loads of activity recommendation scattered around the walls. See you back very soon guys!

Greymouth itself is definitely a stopover town. This hostel had friendly staff and OK amenties however our room was not comfortable. We were in the Zebra room right next to reception- there was no door to seperate the start of the corridoor from receptiom area so was super loud. The bed was very uncomfortable and the bathroom had no locks-...
