With a sincerely nice owner, hot tub, extraordinary view and calm atmosphere, this is the best place in Kaikoura to recharge! Both rooms and showers/toilets are very clean. Free coffee and tea and 500 mb Internet pef day. Everything you need.

We stayed 1 night in a private room with ensuite. On arrival, we were warmly greeted by reception and a cute little kitty. The room was cosy and comfortable with sufficient room for luggage and bathroom facilities were adequate. The ocean views from the balcony are lovely and we got a glimpse of this from our room. There is also... More

This is a 'hostel' I guess but there are also private rooms and it is nice and small - I think only a few rooms total - so it feels like you are staying in a large house. There is a big, open-plan kitchen with indoor and outdoor dining areas, a huge deck and lovely relaxing garden with brilliant views... More

I had such a quiet, relaxing time at this hostel. The place is more like a house than a lot of hostels. It's kept very clean and has a lovely garden when the weather is warm. Very close to town centre and beach, 3 min walk downhill

This place is so cool. It like a giant house turned hostel/lodge. Kitchen and bathrooms well kept, beds SUPER comfy. There was a spa and really nice balcony over looking the ocean. Helen the owner was really nice and helpful. Wifi was great as well. would definitely recommend here, wasn't as busy as other hostels and I felt so at... More

For 29 dollars a night a 4 person room (no bunks, plenty of space and a nice airy room), sufficient shower/toilet/kitchen facilities, nice deck outside and friendly staff. Good location, very central yet very quiet! Had a great stay!

We stayed for 3 nights in a ensuite double room (74 NZD/night, 3 NZD discount per BBH member). The room was clean and cosy and we could even see the sea from our window! The hostel has a small common room with a big table and a fire place with sofas infront of it. Perfect to sit down and cuddle... More

Highly recommend this Hostel for Backpacker. Cheap accommodation, everything is super clean and stuff is just friendly. Helen, the owner is willing to help you if you have questions. 1 minute away from town centre. Was a pleasure staying here!

Stayed here for a few days while in Kaikoura and it was great! Our room was nice and clean and friendly staff, although to go to the shower/bathroom we had to walk through the main kitchen/chill area which made me feel but awkward.. The view from the garden was lovely and was generally a good place to stay!

Location is really great, two minute walking to the city centre. The view is awesome, you can see the sea from the kitchen - which is nice, has a reasonable size and you can find everything you need if you want to cook. Bathroom is also good with water pressure and hot water. Showers have a small area for you... More
