Larisa, a transplant from Russia, gives you a friendly greeting you when you walk into the reception area. The beds are comfortable, the rooms roomy, the kitchen facilities perfunctory but sufficient. But who cares? Man, what a view from your room (there are several rooms that you may need to walk out a few steps to get that view): snow-capped...

Thank you for taking the time to give feedback on our motel. It's great to read stories like this one, as it ticks all the boxes for us. Glad you enjoyed your stay.

The room itself was nice and modern and it was nice to be able to hire DVD's for free but if you want a room for sleep quality then this is not the place. We could hear the man and woman next door talking to midnight and then again at 7am. I don't understand when a motel only has 4...

Thank you for your feed back. I've checked back through October where there were only 4 rooms booked but nobody was booked in a room next to one another (nor did I spot anybody from Launceston). That's exactly what we do, we keep a room free in between when we can. It may seem obvious at times, but it may...

What you'd expect from a simple motel in a small town. No complaints...fair amenities and facilities. We'd had the urge to watch Lord of the Rings since being in NZ but it wasn't available in the motels free DVD hire range. We settled into our room when we got a knock of the door and the owner was there with...

The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. Range of DVDs available to borrow for free and so free movies to watch on the TV. A little noisy at night as it's located on the highway. The lady who first served us when we checked in was not very friendly, she was on the phone whilst serving us. But the...

The Mediterranean is on the edge of town so makes for great long walks along the beach, which I loved. The hotel is extremely clean, I had everything I needed in the kitchenette and once I had the heating turned on for 10 minutes, it was lovely and cosy. The bed is amazing, so comfortable, lovely and warm with the...

Not only clean etc, but the wi fi actually worked! The welcome was friendly, the heaters had been turned on before we arrived and the water was hot! The rooms are nicely decorated and have an up-to-date look and feel. There's even free DVD loan from Reception! Recommended. There's some road noise, but all the motels in Kaikoura are along...

This motel unit was fairly spacious with a well appointed kitchen and nice bathroom. The beds were comfortable and internet access worked well. The lady who checked us in was pleasant and showed us the room. The unit was clean; the only drawback was the laundry was not available. All in all, a good night's rest for part of our...

This was the first hotel coming into the city. The staff was awesome and showed us the rooms before we decided to stay. The bed was very comfortable. The room was large enough and it had a kitchenette. The train was loud when it came by but that is about it. The staff helped us find a place that is...

Spent one night here on our drive back to Picton and we were the only guests for the night. Not sure if the motel is new or newly renovated but room furniture very good and probably the most comfortable bed we have had in our ten day sun NZ. Bathroom had cupboard for storing toiletries unlike some where they go...

The room was clean and functional and that's where it ends. Didn't see a smile or a friendly face after staying two nights. The place is also very scruffy. Old car mats draped over the rocks at the entrance way, soggy towels and empty bottles in the gardens. Not the look of a motel in a major tourism destination. The...

Thank you for your comments. I like to spend time with our guests and talk about their travels. We have been rather busy and sometimes we get caught up in the running of the motel and can't talk to every guest we have staying with us. The one old car mat has been left behind by who knows. I removed...
