The motel itself is somewhat basic and dated. However, it's the location of the place which keeps me coming back (this was my fifth visit). Almost unique to town, this place looks out across the bay to the distant magnificent Kaikoura mountains.

Really nice view.. Lovely basic room. Big enough for a couple and a child. Me and my partner stayed in Dec. Loved the view more than anything. It was clean, quiet and well equipped microwave, kettle and toaster. Free wifi too.
Had a lovely stay over easter. We had unit 204, it is upstairs and on the end looking towards the pier.My only complaint is the out dated kitchen utensils and the sofa- abit uncomfortable. Would go back again and stay in the same room. Very...More
...Great rooms...we had the studio upstairs (no.106) and it was very clean and comfortable..parking right outside the room..close to the town and on the way to the Seal Colony....we would highly recommend this motel...and we will be back soon.. Thank You
