Situated right on the sea front and an easy walk into town what's not to like. Panorama was a typical NZ motel. It did "what it said on the tin". No nonsense, no frills. Clean, quite (at night) and friendly.

Stayed one night in an upstairs room. All have views of the Bay, second to none. The buildings are chalet type and clean. Excellent parking for the upper floors means no lifting of heavy luggage. But if your neighbour wants their TV on loud then you can hear them. That said we enjoyed staying here. It was good value for...

Stayed only one night. The rooms were extremely well presented with a top outlook. Great off road parking. Staff good to deal with. We are a family of 3 and this motel worked well for us. Ours friends are a family of 6, they too were very happy with their stay. The only thing that stopped an excellent review was...

We have just had two delightful nights at the Panorma Motel Kaikora. Our unit was really comfortable and well appointed. The two seater couch by the windows looking at the glorious Kaikora panorama became our favourite spot. The info given on our arrival for dining at the Green Dolphin a nearby restaurant was a lovely place to eat at. We were...

We stayed here on a quick trip through Kaikoura. Rooms need a little updating, especially the kitchens and bathrooms. Could use some tinting on the large front windows because you feel a bit like a money in a zoo with all the people constantly walking past and they can clearly see into your room (this will only happen if you...

As part of a month long trip to New Zealand, we stopped in Kaikoura without reservations for lodging. Checking with the information center they recommended the Panorama Motel. We are so happy they did so. The Panorama's name also describes its location on the Esplanade facing the beach, bay and in our case the glorious snow-capped Kaikoura mountains that were...

The Motel is on the Espanade (a beach front promenade). The views of the beach and Mountains are amazing. The check in was very welcoming and informative. We were advised to visit the seal colony and a waterfall at Ohau Point. Also a very good restaurant, the Green Dolphin. The room is spotless, with a kitchen with hobb, microwave, toaster,...

We loved this place last year so returned this year. The mountain and ocean views are amazing and only a short walk to the seal colonies and there were even a few seals at the end of the street The rooms are cosy with timber finishes and a log cabin feel. They have nice kitchenettes with everything you need and...
