This is not a "flash" hotel by any means, however rooms are clean, albeit a bit small, and are not cheap, however it is attached to the pub which is also the hotel reception. The grounds are very nice to take a walk around.
The scenery and garden is nice, location is ok but is a drive out of Kaikoura. Staff are friendly. What drags this place down is the value for what you pay form we payed around 100 euros per night, stayed 2 nights. Dirty and shaggy floor carpets in the room and in the hall.…
This is a great pub full of character , we had an enjoyable 3 nights here, but the weather was pretty crappy. The staff are all super friendly. Very pleasant grounds with ducks and quail running around. Parking right outside your back door .
I want to give this place a good review because the people are just so nice... but the room and amentities just aren't. Firstly the setting is lovely ... ducks in the pond, well kept lawns and beautiful views of the mountains. That's the good stuff. Breakfast was toast,…
This is a little piece of Ireland with a long family history in Kaikoura. The beer is cold, the food is great and the atmosphere is fantastic. There’s accommodation available too with hotel or campervan sites in the grounds. Set in a beautiful garden and with fantastic views…
"Get a room on the north side facing the mountains otherwise you are looking at the parking lot."
"Room locations are all the same."
"ask for a better room ..ours was awfull"
"All rooms are good, and open on to park like grounds."
"Call the owner before you check-in. There is a really good chance they don't take you."
