Traveling with friends I will say first it was not me who booked, but so glad this was our accommodation for two nights! Check in was friendly and helpful, with the ladies providing a couple of tips and answers to our questions. We did ask if a sea view room was available, however as soon as we were told some...

Spent a night in Kaikoura because we wanted to go whale-watching and maybe spot some seals. The White Morph is a clean and tidy motel, well located to walk to the town centre and nearby cafes and restaurants, Don't expect any human interaction and you'll be fine. In fact, having Scandinavian-style check-in with a digital code would be a good...

As we step in the body language and attitudes tell us we were not welcome. Ask for a good seafood restaurant in town, the answer was , everyone is the same. The attitudes and service at the reception really suck. Never ever stay in any of the Heritage run Hotel again.

We were totally impressed with this accomodation from the moment we walked in the door. We were given a ground floor garden room for our stay overnight. Manager Mike was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was faultless despite the recent earth quake causing a couple of cracks in the walls. Highly recommended.

Don't let the strange name of the motel put you off (!), it's an excellent place to base yourself for activities in Kaikoura. It's not right in the hustle and bustle of the restaurant area but not far off either, so access by walking or car is easy. It's also right next door to the Dolphin Encounter building, so if...

We stayed here for 2 nights. We had a very pleasant stay. It is about a 5-10 min walk into the main town. We stayed in an Oceanview Room, just above the reception area. It was lovely waking up to the oceanviews. Staff were helpful, and gave us an extra hr late checkout. Would come back next time we visit...

Many places in Kaikoura are damaged from the earthquake. This motel is open and what we needed. We stayed in a "garden view room" the first night but moved to an ocean view room the second night. There are no proper "ocean front" rooms in Kaikoura as the road runs along the beach. But the ocean view rooms here are...

We had a lovely room on the 2nd floor, ocean view with private terrace. Although right on the road, it was quiet and the ocean was very close. Beautiful view. It is more like a motel but clean, convenient and great location to explore Kaikoura. Come to Kaikoura, they are recovering well from the earthquake and am sure would appreciate...

Having just read some other reviews about this hotel I'm wondering if we're talking about the same place. We arrived late after a very long journey due to the damage to the roads caused by November's earthquake. Reception was closed but the manager came very swiftly in response to our call and gave us some fresh milk for the room....

We were supposed to stay in Kaikoura Boutique but because of the earthquake damage they weren't able to open until mid 2017 so they pointed us to The White Morph, and we are really glad we went with there recommendation. Its a small place so there isn't a lot of options for 'nice' places to stay, but WM is right...
