AWESOME!! I have stayed at a lot of motels in Kaikoura but The Anchor Inn tops them all by far! Luxurious bedding, towels and everything you need in the kitchenette, owners Lynn and Paul are TUMEKE! (Awesome) They go out of their way to help you and treat you like family, very welcoming. My partner and I stayed in room...

We stayed only for one night in Kaikoura but loved the accommodation at the Anchor. It was clean and warm and very comfortable, Lyn and the team were very welcoming and I can highly recommend the stay. There was 5 of us in our family and the facilities were great.

We stayed at the standard studio for 2 separate nights. Staff/owner was friendly and introduced room to us. It was winter and heater was already switched on when we checked in. Room was spacious, clean and modern. Kitchen was well-equipped. We forgot to take our chopping board after the first night and requested to search for it. Staff/owner was very...

Lovely clean and spacious room with gorgeous views. Welcomed with open arms by Lyn on our first visit to Kaikoura ... she recommended spots for dinner, made bookings and generally looked after to us like we were family. Loved our stay and would stay with Lyn again

Lyn and her husband warmly welcomed some fellow Aussies. They recommended things for us to see and do. Also suggested and booked restaurants for each night of our stay. Our room was spacious and well appointed. It was clean and well maintained. We had a side facing room which was lovely with its own little outdoor table but I would...

The lady owner burst into our room without knocking, looked at us and closed the door without a word. Then she...

We have stayed at this motel on a number of occasions before and have never paid more than 4$40 per night. It has since changed ownership, and we were charged $210 for a night. This was not explained to us when we booked.I consider it price gouging, as we have travelled extensively throughout New Zealand and have never before paid this much...

Thankyou for your responce , but i am afraid $40 per nite in these currant times does not secure a room other than the Backpackers dorm room on the outskirts of town ( YHA is $60 and Dusky Lodge is $50 ). As you found out, our rooms are exceptionlly clean and very well appionted , with that fantastic ocean...
