Our stay at Hapuku Lodge is memorable for so many reasons! Upon check-in we were directed to our suite just off the lobby and it was HUGE! Living room with fireplace, small kitchenette and spacious closet area and a large room with luxurious bedding, a spectacular view of the mountains, greenery and resident deer on the property! And the bathroom...

After November's earthquake that blocked the roads into Kaikoura we were given a choice by the travel agency we were working with to either skip Kaikoura or book two additional (small) flights to get in and out of the town. Hapuku Lodge was the main reason we decided to book those flights, and it was absolutely worth it! The lodge...

We stayed for 3 nights at Hapuku lodge for our honeymoon and loved the experience. Not only is Kaikoura a fantastic place to visit (make sure you dive with the dolphins!), but Hapuku lodge was truly unique. Our room was beautiful, with views of both the sea as well as the working farm. The food is all included and sourced...

We were so pleased to have made the effort and took the option to fly into Kia Koura to support this community devastated by the recent earthquake . We loved the fact that the guys who run WingsoverWhales who were going to do our Whale watch flight came to collect us from Blenheim . The lodge wasn't what I expected...

We were lucky enough to be the first guests after the Kaikoura earthquake, and I am so glad we made the effort. Hapuku Lodge made us feel very cared for. The owner and staff are incredibly kind, there is a generosity about the place which I have not found in many other hotels / lodges. The space is great. We...

Stayed for 3 days, Chris and team are really going out their way to encourage people back to the lodge after the earthquake. We were definitely not disappointed. Chris sorted us out with a fab tour swimming with the dolphins which was absolutely out of this world. We did some nice walks along the beach (rocky and black sand!) The...

Quick Overview: Spending the night in a tree house is super cool, the views are stunning, top notch staff, and the food was insanely good. I highly recommend Hapuku Room: My wife and I stayed 2 nights in one of the tree houses and found it to be both fun and relaxing. Being a tree house, there are several things...

My husband and I stayed there for a couple of nights during our self driven tour through New Zealand. During our tour, we also stayed other luxury accommodations (The George in Christchurch and Bay of Many Coves in Marlborough Sound) in New Zealand. We ended up in a huge suite in the main lodge as all the tree houses were...

What a wonderful, relaxing and charming get away near the busy town of Kiakoura, where you can go whale or dolphin watching. We stayed in a tree house here - pure luxury in stunning surroundings. With the distant snow capped mountains and nearby fields of deer and rabbits on one side and the sea in the distance across lovely scenery...
