We spent a very pleasant weekend in Kaikoura overlooking the unique view of ocean and snow covered mountains and enjoying the great local food. A truly superb breakfast and great hosts make this a relaxing place to lay back for a day or two.

From the moment you arrive, the substantial, modern architecture is more than a little bit breath-taking. Very high-spec place with a lot of attention to detail clearly shown. We splashed out on a top-drawer place to enjoy Kaikoura from and couldn’t have been more pleased. The setting is obviously spectacular – the views, the surrounds, the mountains(!!!) and the fit-out...

We had a patio with a great view of the mountains and sea. Location is great - there are nearby running trails and hiking trails, and some...

From the moment we arrived Polly and Trevor made us feel very welcome and our room was spacious and lovely, with eveything we needed. Breakfast witnessed an in-depth talk on paua ( the amazingly blue/green shellfish that grows offshore here ) from Trevor - and a lovely meal to start the day. The Green Dolphin recommendation for dinner was a...

The four-poster bed ensured a great night's sleep and the room was comfort itself. Polly and Trevor were so helpful in advising on where to...

Miharotia means 'to be admired' in Maouri and this is certainly true. Beautiful house in an exceptional location high on the peninsula overlooking Kaikoura.
