A no frills motel which is only a 5 mins drive from the town centre. Room comes with a kitchen, but no seafood allowed though. I was there on an overcast day, but was told that on a clear day, I could see the nearby mountains. Parking is free.

Very well appointed motel chalets with lots of nice touches, such as sachets of sugar, salt & pepper etc so that you do not have to buy them for your short stay. The rooms are modern and extremely clean. Amazing DVD library with around 200 films.

Visited Kaikoura for an overnight stay while touring New Zealand with the family. Stopped at the Kaikoura Cottage Motel for one night. The accommodation was clean and well equipped. The owners gave a warm welcome and there was plenty for the kids to do. Only a short drive to town and wonderful views of the nearby mountain range.

We loved Kaikoura Cottages. The cottage itself was quaint and very peaceful. The owners were very helpful and when they realized we had no car gave us a ride to catch our whale watching tour and train. The cottages are a bit far from town but with a car or if you enjoy walking this should not deter you from...

We stayed 18 November 2015. Totally private. Nice view of mountains from our cottage. Separate cottage, you aren’t attached to another building. Good parking outside your cottage. Quiet. Very clean. Self contained. Very welcoming The most comfy pillows ever! (where did you buy them from??).

We stayed here 3 nights. Their name says motel but these are truly self-contained units: no walls to share, which was really nice. It is a lovely place: clean, well furnished, and spacious. There is a porch to sit and watch the mountains and the gorgeous sunsets. The gardens are wonderful - we even had our own private lawn. There...

We had a brilliant stay in a lovely little cottage. We had cottage number 6 and it was totally private, we had our own little garden from which we could see no other cottage - just the view of the mountains and the horses in the adjoining field. It was so quiet we were unaware of any other people. Raewyn...

We stayed two nights in these cabins. They were very cozy as advised in other reviews. This was particularly welcome since we had cool and drizzly weather when we were there. The cottages are clean, spacious and with the basics available if you want to cook in, remembering that spicy or smelly cooking is NOT allowed. Laundry facilities and iron...

The cabin was clean, spacious, and downright lovely. Although it was a bit out from town center, it was very near new world supermarket and that made the place very convenient. One of the host, Dell, was very nice to us and I totally appreciated his hospitality and kindness. There's also a laundry facility, which was great. Highly recommend this...

We stayed at the cottages about 12 yrs ago, so along time between stays. Its just as good as we remember. Space wise its just great to have a whole cottage with plenty of room inside. The layout is sensible with a seperate bedroom for the kids (brilliant for a family but having an extra room if you're a couple...

“I occupied room 2. Only disadvantage is it backs onto main highway so can get the heavy traffic noise. Any cottage ie 4-6 may be quieter.”
