Arrived in the dark, so we were totally blown away in the morning with the view! Was a very comfortable unit, comfy bed and warm. Just what we needed before the long drive to Dunedin the next day. The staff were really nice, and we had to call them because the ferry had got in late, and they were fine...

It is a nice motel with the beach right across the road. The room is clean and comfortable. Kitchen has everything we need to make our own meal. It is on a main road near the south end of the peninsula so it is easy to find and not noisy. We arrived a bit early when the staff is still...

Arrived late in the dark looking for a budget place to stay. This motel was our second choice and had a sign out the front advertising good rates for the night. It was a good rate for what we wanted. Spacious room with kitchen. Overlooks the ocean but couldn't get a view from our room. We were leaving early so...

My daughter and I were doing a roadtrip round South Island and came back to Kaikoura at the last minute on the way back to Picton so we didn't have a lot of time to find somewhere to stay. While I would agree with some other comments the accommodation is a bit tired, however it was clean, quiet, pretty well...

Nothing wrong with this place, but the high ratings are surprising and misleading. The units are really basic and quite tired, painted concrete blocks etc, some of the sky channels not working. The motel is fine in and of itself, location is good but it was way overpriced at 135 NZD. I see that 3 days after my stay they...

Close to beach although at time of year we stayed this didn't matter to us. Well located for seal colony at end of peninsula and okay location to dining and shops. Old style units that look weary. Was clean and comfortable for a one night stay in cool weather. Price was okay. Staff were friendly and helpful. Included Wifi. Small...

We stopped here for 2 nights on the way to Picton. It is pretty much all you need. The decor is dated but the rooms are spacious and very clean. The staff were very friendly and the view of the bay from the beach over the road is stunning. The number of tv channels was pretty limited but lets face...

Nice little motel. It was clean, spaciousness and comfortable with a kitchenette. Rooms were older and could do with an upgrade, but staff were friendly and helpful and it was a cheap price. And more than comfortable for one night. It is a little bit out of town but not hard to find and right on the ocean front. Would...

Stayed 2 nights whilst on a New Zealand trip.Booked whilst on the road so very pricey as was peak season and got the unit nearest the sea.Lovely views but the room could do with some updating.20 mins pus walk into the town but close to albatross/whale trips and great seafood stall.

This is a very quiet motel located half way between the town and the seal colony - close enough to walk to town. The owners were very friendly & helpful, the motel was older, well maintained & spotlessly clean. Parking was outside the motel door. They even lent us a bucket to clean our bike and there was a hose...
