We arrived at 8:26om...4 minutes before kitchen closed. Our order was taken with a smile. Kids' menu was well received by our kids, especially the kids size steak. Nice dinner, in a clean and inviting restaurant.

The food is above average pub grub but the price tag is not really warranted for what you get. Wide choice of meals and the quality of food was good but quite expensive. Good service, good atmosphere and good wine list.

Dining is in a nice modern substantial extension to an old pub. Staff were very good - friendly and competent. We felt like having seafood so chose the Fisherman's Haul (read platter) at $27.50 each. Wife liked this dish and I enjoyed it too but.....only one calamari ring, no scallops and the prawns were just OK. Good chips, nice fish...

Advised by the nearby accommodation to try Ians for dinner. Very pleasantly surprised by the quality and quantity of the food. The patronage was high from the locals (always a good sign), the atmosphere was pleasant but a bit noisy for me because they were busy. Service was good and price was quite reasonable. Do yourself a favour and eat...

Stayed around the corner and was recommended Ian’s Western Hotel for dinner, I ordered one of the specials from the bar, food arrived quickly and tasted great. Hi quality food as other reviewers have noted. Stopping here for dinner is a must when in Port Augusta. The girl behind the bar was very helpful and friendly.

Visiting a hotel in a smaller town, we didn't expect too much, but the food was excellent. Not just schnitzel and chips and a lettuce leaf, but a really good schnitzel with vegetables, and no chips. Desserts good too. Perhaps let down a bit by the wine list.

Very friendly staff, modern establishment with great service. Meals a better that pub meals but not quiet restaurant quality. Great night out for tea and drinks. Front bar and pokies all available and largest bottle in the town.

We went here for dinner and enjoyed a really nice meal and it is a place we would go back to again. If they wanted to become more family friendly they could considering installing a playground area for the kids which would also set them apart from everywhere else in Port Augusta more as no pubs there have a kids...

Hard working staff, expected pub food... Would have liked to see more local produce, took a while to find a bottle of wine on the wine list that was available. Strange brew for an expresso martini... Missing main alcohol ingredient I think. No cocktail list.
