Only this backpacker hostel was available yesterday, so we booked in girls dorm 6 beds for 23$ bbh member price. The mattress was bad, the kitchen and tv room very small. My friend had cold shower and I got very hot shower ! The breakfast is only cereals. The guests are very noisy until 2-3am and in the street too....

We stayed one night in Aurora backpackers, nice room and great location. Super friendly staff! We came back after a week and we were sad to hear the hostel was fully booked but the man behind the reception went out of his way to find a bed for us in a different accommodation. He was super helpful, this was amazing....

Im happy I found this place. Right in the center, close to all the shops, supermarket. Not to mention its cheap. Staff is super friendly and welcoming. i arrived late and the owner was waiting for me outside, which was handy since I got a bit lost in town :) They have unlimited wi-fi which is always a big bonus...

This is is the worst place I've ever stayed. We woke up to rain pouring into our room through the ceiling onto my phone and I was refused any compensation. This was clearly a long-standing issue that had not been repaired. The manner at reception was extremely rude. We were aggressively screamed at for laughing at 5pm and told that...

I'm so glad I stumbled over this place. It is absolutely gorgeous! The most friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable staff. The rooms are super cozy and lots of blankets to keep you warm 😊 everything just has a really nice family-like atmosphere. It's not too big, so everyone gets to meet everyone which is really nice. I would definitely come back...

Stayed here for 3 nights. My bed was dirty when I arrived and the sheets were moisty. The staff was super helpful though. The hostel is located very central and they will help you arrange bus-pick ups if you for an example need to go to Abel Tasman.

Cheap accom, but lousy facilities. Mouldy bathrooms, no hot water taps in bathroom sinks, springs poking through the double mattress we used (seriously!), no heating in rooms (owner advised us to do jumping jacks or run in place to warm up before he offered us a second blanket), the fridges in the kitchen are filled with old, rotting food which...
