Not too far from Nelson, but a beautiful (and historic) spot. Lovely campsite with top notch facilities. Highly recommended place to stay. We liked it even in heavy rain and would love to go back in the future.

A very nice, though quite hidden holiday park which we only found via a road sign as it obviously doesn't do much promotion. A very friendly and helpful owner who explained everything thoroughly, offering various choice of site. The facilities are all very clean and the kitchen fully equipped.

Very clean, well maintained camping ground with level sites. If you choose a powered site, the road can be a little noisy. No internet or phone access. Great toilet/ showers with unisex disabled catered for and large clean kitchen area, outdoor BBQ area. Friendly staff. Available walk uphill through farm to lookout over Cable Bay and short walk to good...

Cable Bay Holiday Park should be a camping ground at the top of your list if you are visiting the Nelson Region. The amenities and environs with added host hospitality, lend themselves to an A1 stay that will remain in your memory long after you hang up your sleeping bag when you get home. Clean, good spot for staying over night. Road is a little windy and narrow for bigger campervans but a great view of the bay along the drive. Beach is a little Stoney and no shops so bring supplies with you as the nearest store is 8ks away and a little over priced. Cute wekas come out and about Day and...

This campsite is beautiful and the host where so nice and friendly the facilities where spotlessly clean, the only thing was the noise from lots of children until nearly 9pm! This obviously was thevparents fault not the owners! If we didn't have a baby we probably wouldn't have stopped the second night.

We really enjoyed staying there..the place is beautiful and well kept...and, last but not least, Josephine and her family are excellent hosts. You feel like being at home. We did the cable bay walk and it was amazing. Unfortunately didn't have time to go kayaking. Hope to be back one day!

Cable Bay Holiday Park is a fantastic camp. Jo and Nigel went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and settled. They are a positive, friendly presence. The facilities are generous, very clean and well respected by campers. There is a great, safe family feeling with lots of activities but also quiet spaces. The beach and DOC...

We stayed in this very quiet and peaceful camp in our motorhome for only one night (sadly). It is a small pleasant camp in a great location with views over the water, and only 50 metres from the pebbly spit which leads to Pepin Island. There are several popular walks of various grades nearby. We had been told beforehand that...
