We booked a sea view room and found that the view was well maybe half a view. The hotel was comfortable enough, clean enough but perhaps not worth the extra we paid. There was nothing wrong with it but it turned out to be a little out the way and maybe we should have chosen a different location or simply...

My wife and I enjoyed a huge roast here last Sunday. It is a special on Sundays. It had lots of tasty lamb but even more lovely roasted vegetable of all sorts of colour and flavours. It also came with a free desert (Bread and Butter pudding with ice cream) but there was little room for it. Service was efficient...

On our way to the airport we stopped at The Sands for brunch. Staff were welcoming and friendly. A family group of 8 us had food and drinks. Coffees were the best we had during our holiday. Food was delicious and the service we got from Jamie second to none. Most of us had bacon and eggs [$10] plus extras....

Arrived for breakfast on a Sunday as many places were closed. it looks good from the outside so we took a punt. My wife ordered eggs benedict and I just had poached eggs on toast with bacon. The food arrived quickly, was well presented and cooked to perfection. The staff were pleasant and polite. The portions sizes was impressive, lots...

Stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment for 2 nights. The apartment interiors were 1st class. Everything was to an extremely high standard. The apartments have everything in them that you could possibly need. Fantastic views. Access to complex was hassle free but also very secure Handy to restaurants We will definitely stay there again next time we are in Nelson

Great location and like what they have done with the place but the wait staff weren't friendly or even smiled. They weren't very helpful with meeting the customers needs. Food was good but service brings the whole experience down.

Spacious apartments located opposite the beach. Everything you need is in the apartment. Covered locked car park. Have stayed here before. Price is fair. Units are tidy and clean. Not far to the city. Would not recommend KFC as it was dirty and the service was ridiculously slow. Bar, coffee shop and hair dresser below apartment were all excellent.

The Sands is a good place to stay. Sparkling clean, decent furnishings and good kitchens, etc. secure covered parking and good wifi for a minimal cost for a router. Walk to the beach in 2 min across the busy road. Go Kart and park also 2-5 min walk. Easy drive to all amenities, very good restaurants very nearby. 5 min...

The Sands Nelson was a beautiful hotel. It was extremely clean and located close to downtown. The staff was friendly and allowed me to check in early, they helped me arrange transportation to the airport.
