We had a lovely room here. Very clean and comfortable. The owner also served a continental breakfast in our room at a reasonable price. There was ample parking and it was handy for the beach and other amenities.

Doing a road trip around New Zealand, Saxton Lodge hit the spot perfectly. Our large two bedroom family unit slept five and included microwave, fridge etc and there was a further communal kitchen available if required (we did not use it). There are also laundry facilities available. The managers, David and Desma gave us a lovely welcome and were very...

Stayed for a few days to be within short walk of athletics track. Arrived very early, far earlier than check-in. I didn't expect a room to be available but was giving great treatment and I was allowed to work with access to wi-fi in dining area before a room was made available a little while later. Bonus. The rooms are...

We were so impressed with the warm welcome from Desma at the airport. She even stopped at the supermarket for us to get supplies on our way back to the motel. Perfect spot for events at Saxton Fields. Nice spacious studio we stayed in. Always good service at reception desk. Thank you guys!

We had a ground floor room for 2 nights and it was very spacious even with 2 Queen Beds. The décor is very elegant and the bathroom had a large bench, pull out clothesline over bath and the best shower pressure we found in South Island! Very classy hotel, well run and not too far from town centres. Road noise...

Saxton is situated about two thirds between Nelson and Richmond, making it an ideal mid-point for visiting these two enjoyable spots. The Lodge is on the main road between the two centres and has bus stops immediately outside, going each way. The room was comfortable and well presented and the bathroom etc all in good nick. But what made the...

We had a few nights here and were really impressed. Our room was huge, nicely furnished, well equipped and had a good bathroom. The guest laundry was useful as was the option of the diy continental breakfast delivered to our room. Although we didn't use it the communal kitchen looked to be very clean and well equipped too. There was...

We were looking for accommodation close to family who had recently moved to Stoke while waiting for their new home to be built in Richmond. Saxton Lodge was perfectly situated in this case. From the moment we checked in I had a good feeling about Saxton Lodge! The couple running the lodge appeard quite fun and were certainly very helpful....
