I stayed in a share dorm room 2 nights before and 2 nights after my friend and I hiked the Abel Tasman track. The rooms were spacious and clean, I liked the high ceilings and old fashioned decor. All beds in his hostel are real beds! No bunks. This is a nice change from having someone either above or below...

I actually planned to stay for only one night but in the end I sextended for three more nights. The Palace has a great service, a nice receptionist, who showed me around and lovely rooms. Enough places to sit together and chat or just hang out, such as a tv room, a living room and an outside area. It has...

Had very good reviews so gave it a try. First I was thrown off by the high amount of steps to walk up given I had very heavy luggage to carry up.. This place is on a hill, which on the other hand offers you a nice view for sunrise. The receptionist was nice, showed me around and helped carrying...

Be prepared to mix with young people of every race. Beautiful atmosphere. Lovely breakfast. If you're older - this is a younger persons accommodation. My sister and I loved it. Clean and close to everything! Good fun x

We loved staying at The Palace - free breakfast, free baked goods in the evenings, sunny BBQ area, huge selection of movies to watch and charming rambling old house. The long-termers can be a bit cliquey but there's always lots of opportunities to socialise and the location is very close to supermarket and 5-10 min from town centre, weekend market...

But unfortunately the kitchen at times a sty...grand old home with beautiful features, complimentary breakfast and pastries in the afternoon a bonus but some guests need to learn how to clean but after themselves ...and the lovely managers need to get on to it...

The position drew my attention; a wonderfully Gothic building. It has something for everyone - the first night we stayed in an enormous room, but at backpacker prices. So good we returned for a second night, this time to a dorm room. There are balconies for everyone, kitchens, even a smoker's den, and a wonderful maze of a garden leading...

After I stayed with the boozed up paradiso crowd I was looking for something more calm and found a nice hostel called The Palace. The palace has free wifi and also offers the leftovers from a local bakery for free which is good for socialising. The receptionist was very nice and she showed me the whole hostel and property. The...

I loved this unique hostel. Unfortunetely we stayed for just one night, but we really enjoy it. Our room was very spacius and comfortable. And all the hostel has different areas to enjoy your stay, a tv room with lot of movies, a smokers room, a nice kitchen (with some stuffs from the bakery every day for free), a living...
