Very comfortable B and B with (small) baths and showers, very comfortable beds and delicious breakfast in a rather chilly dining room! Delightful and very helpful hostess and we would recommend this as a nice place to stay for a couple of nights!

Thankyou for your comments. I'm sorry you felt chilly in the dining room. We have thermostatically controlled heating, but sometimes I am very hot with the cooking. However I should have noticed you were not comfortable.

My third business trip to Nelson, there is no need to stay anyplace else. Such comfort and care. Pays to phone and book , unless you like paying higher internet prices. The rooms are so large, peaceful and the breakfast.......well that's a whole other story.

This is the second time I have stayed at Cambria House and I would happily return again and again. Karel and David are wonderful hosts. They are friendly and helpful without being intrusive and their rooms are large and comfortable. The simple but high quality breakfast is taken round the big table in the dining room giving you the opportunity...

We were given a warm welcome by Carol and made to feel very comfortable from the start. There was a lovely sitting room and a decked garden area with shading. Tea and coffee making facilities and use of a fridge in the dining room as well as tea and coffee facilities in the rooms. Cambria House is a short walk...

Nice B&B in a Victorian house, but with modern and clean bathrooms with underfloor heating so we were pleased about that. Breakfast was lovely and the house is a 10-15min walk from the town centre which has many nice restaurants and bike rental facilities (we used Bike Barn). It's about an hour's drive from Kaiteriteri where most Abel Tasman activities...

We just left Nelson after 3 nights at the wonderfully located Cambria House and the most accommodating proprietor Karol. We stayed there on the recommendation of our Australian travel agent who knows NZ inside out. We found the location perfect for our needs, just a short walk from everything, with delicious breakfast and roomy accommodations. Karol helped us in so...

Karel and David are very genial hosts and most helpful. We really enjoyed our stay here - large comfortable rooms, plenty of info, wi-fi, reasonably close to town centre, easy parking. Nice outside sitting area at the back - just right for aperatifs. Laundry service was an added bonus. Just two downsides for us: lack of hot water one day...

A wonderful place for a relaxing time. Karel and David Wallace were gracious hosts with lots of information about the areas history as well as information about what to do and where to eat etc. Plenty of talk with the other guests over breakfast about yesterdays activities and todays plans. As for the breakfasts; they were excellent!

This B&B has so much charm and character! I was travelling by myself and stayed in the Rata room at the front of the house with the bay window. The picture on the website doesn't do the room justice! The old fireplace with original slate mantle and the built in woodwork is beautiful. It is well decorated to give it...

Karel was the perfect hostess. Warm and efficient, she looked after me admirably including, after seeing my walking stick, driving me to and from places in Nelson out of the kindness of her heart. Breakfast was superb. Homemade muesli and fresh fruit, scrambled egg and home smoked salmon washed down with fresh coffee and orange juice, eaten at a fine...
