Can recommend this fabulous poat era house for it's fantastic position, gorgoues but understated elegance and ease. We were travelling with 2 treenage children and also they rated it as best stay. Hospitality quality of breakfast was exceptional, could not rate it highly enough. deborah

After traveling for almost 30 hours, my husband and I stayed at Te Puna Wai Lodge for our first two nights in New Zealand. This was our first encounter with NZ hospitality and we were blown away. The owners of the lodge were gone on holiday and a young couple was managing the property while they were gone. They were... More

Well, what can I say, I can't find fault with this accommodation at all. The room was fantastic with so much space. The bathroom was pure luxury, large as well. The guest lounge is very comfortable. There is a good choice at breakfast, and more than enough on offer. But the best thing is the hosts if they are around... More

Wonderful accommodation. great bed, nice linen, many home comforts. Very friendly and welcoming. The view from my room was second to NONE! It was truly stunning, I will be back. All the rooms are really nice actually. However, I was spoilt with the view. :-)

We stayed with Richard and James at their beautiful bed and breakfast in Nelson for 3 nights in February this year. They were perfect hosts and their place was truly beautiful. They could not have been more helpful: directing us to good places to eat, providing fantastic breakfasts, booking a trip for us, doing laundry ( as a result of... More

Thank you Richard and James! Three Generations holidaying together and you were wonderful. The accommodation exceeded all expecations, the sun drenched patio was a welcome retreat and your warm welcome on a crisp and clear autumn afternoon will always be remembered. No bed and breakfast experience would be complete without the best breakfast we had whilst in NZ! Preserves that... More

We stayed 3 nights at Te Puna Wai and wished that we could have stayed longer. Richard and James made us very welcome in their home which is full of beautiful and interesting artefacts. The views across Tasman Bay were glorious. There are a couple of good restaurants within easy walking distance, and many more a short drive away. Breakfasts... More

A lovely house with stunning views that has been beautifully renovated. Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful and offered to make bookings for restaurants and cruises and had lots of brochures on hand. The house was filled with fresh flowers and a lounge with a laptop computer was available for guests use.
