Hard to put into words how good our stay was here. Woodi is the perfect host, great recommendations on how to spend your time in, and around, Nelson and nothing is too much trouble. Unique to this B&B are: 1. the stunning views across the Tasman Bay. Book the Crows Nest if you can, a view from the balcony and...

Upon arriving at Wakefield Quay House we knew we had made a superb choice to spend our 4 nights in Nelson at this inviting B&B. Woodi and Johnny were such warm and welcoming innkeepers, we immediately felt right at home. Our room was spectacular with the most comfortable bed! Tomorrow morning we will have to say goodbye to Wakefield Quay House - let's hope it's adieu and not goodbye - I'd hate to think we won't return. I've rarely felt as at home as this - and we're on the other side of the world! Woodi and Johnny have been such wonderful hosts and have treated us like valued...

One of the best experiences we've ever had at a B&B. Amazing room, spotlessly clean, comfy bed and incredible view. Woodi is a marvellous hostess, nothing too much trouble, delicious breakfasts and plenty of helpful information. On street parking out the front, wifi and short distance to town and the beach. If you're in Nelson, it's definitely THE place to...

Amazing experience, beautiful location and scenery. Our hosts Woody, Johnny and Helen made us feel really welcome. Breakfasts were amazing and their help with booking us tours and dinners was so good. When Woody booked us a dinner we always got the best seat in the restaurant.

Our room was elegant and clean with a gorgeous view of the waterfront. The bed, linen, toiletries and fresh flowers were all divine. After showing us...

Woodi and Johnny are fantastic hosts. Woodi's decorating, attention to detail, excellent local knowledge and assistance to plan local shopping and excursions won't be beaten. We will always remember her delicious breakfasts, the afternoon happy hour on the deck with a view to die for and her wit and humour. And I haven't mentioned the fresh flowers that grace the...

Woodi and Johnny were very warm, friendly and welcoming hosts. They were generous with their company, their wine every evening. Not intrusive but very willing to help guide us around a great city, especially booking dinners are really cool restaurants. Must do boathouse and Hopgoods and walk to the centre of New Zealand :-) definitely recommend!
