Have always wanted to stay here. Asked for a room facing the Bay. Perfect room, complete with two leather armchairs. Beautiful lotions in the bathroom. Free Wi-Fi. Also a laundry, which was wonderful as we had been travelling for a few days. Continental breakfast was included and couldn't be faulted. The staff were all very friendly.

The day was very wet and windy. Beautiful old hotel very old fashioned but cosy on a wet day. We had lunch it was nice but nothing amazing I ordered the hamburger and the beef patty was very rare that's fine if you are told that when ordering, that was disappointing The fish and chips were OK. We stayed at this hotel for a family function and was not disappointed. The staff were friendly, we had booked a Waterfront room which was clean and had a lovely view of the sea and Pohutukawa trees, you could watch the boats and ferries coming into the wharf, and even at night it was nice to look out and see...

The first licensed hotel in NZ and the setting is awesome. If the views are'nt good enough you will be overawed by the food. I was simply blown away by the whole experience. Staff very attentive and friendly. Must do

Waited 5 years to get back to this fabulous setting. It did not disappoint. Just what we looked for in being so far from Canada for the first time at Christmas. Friendly, accommodation excellent, dining superb! A not-to-miss stay on a tour of the North Island.

We really enjoyed our first experience of this quaint hotel in a beautiful setting. This was to celebrate a birthday and as we live near Kerikeri we didn't have to travel far. At this time of year the number of tourists and visitors has dropped so we had Russell and The Duke of Marlborough virtually to ourselves. The staff were...
