Fantastic hosts, very helpful and obliging, The one bedroom unit we were in was very spacious, with a more than adequate kitchen area and all definitely kept maintained to a high standard, it was not cold and clinical like other motels we have stayed at but homely in a luxurious manner, nicely decorated and I especially appreciated the Red touches... Two things we look for in a motel (and, sadly, don't always find) - a high standard of cleanliness and good lighting. Omahu Motor Lodge ticked both those boxes. Just one night to attend a wedding west of Hastings, a choice made largely from TripAdvisor reviews and we're happy. Just a short walk to a dairy cum bakery plus a... More

Very nice Motel. The rooms are nice, spacious and clean. They are equipped with a small kitchen like most Motels and our room had a spa bath. Location is close to many restaurants and shopping places. We'd stay there again if in that area.

We called into Omahu Motor Lodge over Labour weekend 2014, having had to extend our stay due to my vehicle breaking down as we arrived on the Sunday. No mechanics open until the Tuesday and the need to have parts flown down from Auckland meant we had to stay two more days than we'd planned. As our original accommodation was... More

I've stayed here every week for the past 5 weeks. The motel is modern, complete with a fully equipped kitchenette. The rooms are spacious and spotless. If I could find a reason to complain, it would be with the internet where it as a bit hit and miss depending what room your in.

A modern motel, clean and comfortable. Friendly host. Good choice of TV channels. Highly recommended for business and pleasure. Unlike so called international hotels wifi is free. Can't think of more to say but I have to fill 200 spaces. Opposite hospital if you fancy a quick transplant during yor stay.

Having never stayed in Hastings before I turned to Trip Advisor to find a well rated motel in my price range. It is located opposite the hospital and is very close to the centre of Hastings. I was in the unit right on the road front and the road noise wasn't too much of a problem (helped by keeping the... More

We found the room to be fantastic. Warm and spacious with modern decor and top quality linen and extremely comfortable king size bed. Friendly and helpful hosts. Just a suggestion for the hosts to discover the best places to dine close by (look on TripAdvisor). The Orchid Thai was fabulous.

Great location opposite hospital, very close to Hastings central and shops, including food and liquor. Extremely clean and polished, warm, modern and contemporary. Polite and helpful service, owners went the extra mile when we had problems with the DVD player in our room (problem rectified in no time at all). Favourite features: heat pump, electric blankets, large spa bath, and... More

Had an unexpected stay, as I needed to be close to the hospital, for a family member. The location opposite the Hospital was a big factor in picking this motel. This was a stressful time made easier by Owner, his concern and consideration was well above the norm and really appreciated. Room was really smart, with everything needed and nicely... More

“Room 19 Fantastic comfortable Queen bed, there was roadside noise especially noisy Fri and Sat with boy racer cars but OK even for me who is very sensitive to noise but more importantly well sound proofed for other noise, I did not hear anything at all through the walls from adjoining units, lovely big shower with great pressure and we had sun late in the day so room was nice and warm when we got in. Good adequate kitchen even though we did not use it. Only negative if you need to access Wifi in room 19 it was very bad in this room in the 5 days I very seldom could stay on for more than a few minutes at a time, neither day or night !!!! unless I was outside then no problem, but when doors and curtains shut and inside practically impossible and frustrating. Did pass this on to owner when leaving.”
