This resort has earned every one of its five stars. The food was superlative, the rooms were superlative, the pools were superlative (albeit a little noisy at times) and the beach was beautiful in spite of the rough waters. The Gardens are magnificent and so well maintained. If you look you may find an Iguana by the pool, pussy cats...

I am not going to extoll the virtues already described here but rather state our experiences of last week. The food was uniformly good with the Japanese and Italian restaurants being our favourites. The other two were also good but we felt they had been outdone by our first choices. The Buffet was also uniformly good to excellent with the...

Gorgeous place ,great hotel, beautiful cheerful people except one. DO NOT BUY TRIPS FROM CARLOS CAMPOS. He is a smooth talking slimeball, he stands near to where you get on to the beach on the main path to the beach, he has pictures, a receipt book and knowledge of the trips, he wears a gold/yellow polo shirt with a logo on...

Don’t let the negative reviews put you off. We have just returned from two weeks at this hotel and could not find fault. We filled in our check in details on the coach and consequently had our room keys almost immediately on arrival. There are an army of cleaners and gardeners around 24/7 who work very hard to keep the...

Our stay was just ok. The food was less then desirable,no taste, same thing all week long. The drinks are watered down, every time you ordered your cocktail, it had different liqours in it, never tasted the same, most of the bartenders were rude.Always had to go get your own drinks.. I have never stayed at a all inclusive where...

I attended an excursion wedding at Riu, and it was worth every cent. I have never been so enlightened by such wonderful food, wonderful service and wonderful scenery. I have traveled all over the world, and this trip was by far the most wonderful vacation I've ever had. Love Love Love it.

Firstly i will be reviewing places in the hotel in categories as follows; EXCURSIONS: We didn't book through our Thompson rep as we felt they charged more for trips, as well as sharing the experience with 30 other people no Thanks! We used Alex on the Beach and we did 7 trips while staying in Costa Rica and booked With...

An early anniversary stay with my wife, we arrived early morning and were greeted with a welcome cocktail, the bellboy whisked our luggage away to our room while we we're checked in. Our room was on the upper floor as requested and was very modern in its feel, with large bed, Jacuzzi bath, and great shower, the room had the...

We had an amazing time at Riu. The beach there was the best I have ever been on, and all the pools are so beautiful! The staff there is incredible - they are all there to serve you and make your experience better and are very very nice and helpful. The food selection was incredible at all the restaurants, and...

Great resort with super friendly staff. Nestled between mountains on a secluded section of beach that seemed to be just for the resorts (other riu property is right next door with shopping, casino and night club between). Food was good and appeared to be mostly made to order in specialty restaurants. Ordered lamb chops medium rare and they came out...
