I recently stayed in a cabin with my husband and son for one night. The room was clean, spacious and cool (important as it was very hot!). It was also very convenient to be able to get on the river cruise at the end of the path. The staff were all friendly and the breakfast was good. It was handy...

Dear Summerhols101, Guests love our rooms and "staff friendliness" is always a standout feature. It's really important to us to find the Human Connection with our guests. The Cooinda Lodge pizzas normally receive rave reviews so Chef will be interested to read this commentary and we'll certainly table this for discussion at the next department meeting. It's that time of...

The Cooinda hotel is located in excellent location for the Yellow Water Cruise but it's very run down and mouldy. I stayed in a cabin and it was dark and smelt of mould and mildew but choices in the area are limited so there was not much I could do. The restaurant meals were below average. I had a chicken...

Dear Jane W, You & your fellow travellers will be pleased to learn that Management have begun discussions with the Owners regarding the development of the Cooinda Lodge Kakadu over the next couple of seasons. Refurbishment has already begun on several of our lodge rooms (Pandanus rooms) and this will continue through the coming months. Food offerings are normally a...

We stayed in a recently refurbished lodge room which was very clean, modern and spacious. The pricing is very reasonable. Great access to all the attractions of Kakadu NP including Yellow Water cruises, Kakadu Air scenic flights and numerous hikes within the national park. Staff are very friendly and helpful, always accommodating. Highly recommended!

11 of my family ventured to Kakadu from 24 Dec - 28 Dec - from ages 4 - 75 years. Cooinda Lodge was great - I had no expectations. The staff were great, especially Jake who works in the restaurant. He had an excellent attitude and we almost could call him a friend after just 4 days. Even on his...

The lodge is a lovely place for everyone to stay with 2 pleasant swimming pools and access to the Yellow Water Cruises and the Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre. There are a variety of types of accommodation available and a small store. There also is a restaurant which serves good food and a bar and bistro by the larger, nicely landscaped...

Dear catho2, Thank you for your kind words whilst reviewing our Cooinda Lodge Kakadu. I will certainly pass these on to Chef Alex (and his team) and Grounds Manager Toni (and her team). We visited Cooinda as a last minute idea before we left Darwin after Christmas. We rang the resort to enquire about price and tour and were looked after very well from then on. Even though it was the middle of the wet season, the Yellow River tours were still running and as there is more water in the lagoon, the...

Dear Genevieve B, Thank you so much for this wonderful review of our Cooinda Lodge Kakadu. The Yellow Water cruises are still a major highlight for the region and the guys that take the guests out are some of most passionate, knowledgeable individuals we had the pleasure of "having on board". The Pandanus rooms will be the standard as refurbishments...

this place is amazing. Crowded yes, but amenities are great. Pools clean, food good, reasonable price. Nice grounds. We had a powered camp site and originally booked for 2 nights. Within half hour of being on our site we extended to 4 nights. Township of Jabiru is rubbish.

Loved our brief one night stay here. It was so much nicer than the website makes it look. Great rooms, pools, bar, restaurant, shop and super close to cultural centre and Yellow Water Cruises. Would definitely stay again. The rooms were nice and air conditioned and we were lucky enough to get a late check out. Highly recommend.

Checked in with a friendly greeting and a free upgrade due to our booking having been deleted. The room was really nice and comfortable. The pool was awesome the kids loved it. I think the meals are a little pricey but you have to consider where you are. The barman was very accommodating until he kicked us out lol
