A stay that was last minute. So was happy for the availability. Room was clean and decor was a little "Batesy". As it was last minute I requested to purchase a toothbrush and toothpaste, something I thought all motels had in stock. This one however did not and the front desk employee looked at me strange with my request. Which I thought was strange.

Could do with a refurbishment, especially the kitchen area, as it was very tired. It was ok for one night but you could hear people talking through the walls. Location just off the main highway was convenient. BBQ for guest. Would I stay again, probably not.

Dear Jolly Jill Hampshire, Thank you taking the time to review us. As you probably noticed that we had a full house that night you were told that we only have few rooms left that are rented by workers like construction crews, highway maintenance crews and loggers etc. we could only rent those because crews go home on the weekend. As you probably noticed as well that rooms are very well used but very very clean.

We stop here on our way home! It was an older motel, updated! It was clean, quiet and had a comfortable sleep! Would stop here again in the future! If we were here for a longer period, room was equipped with kitchenette etc!

My husband and I stayed one night here. The motel is “old fashioned “ looking - charming! Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable and location was quiet. There were several restaurants nearby and our stay was just right.

Updated and clean rooms with super comfy bed and actual duvets. Staff was very helpful and friendly. It's a hidden jewel just a few minutes north of Boston Bar. Great for spending a few days in the area or on the way through the canyon.

I stayed here for several days while being in the Boston Bar area. The beds and pillows in the motel room where good and I did not have any issue with any noise, but the room felt run down with big stain on the floor, a microwave that you had to move to be able to use it and a general old smell in the unit.

On the second floor,I saw units that where in better shape and they looked like they have been renovated not long ago, but the floor mouldings separating carpet to linoleum floor was loose and created a tripping hazard in one of those units.

In general, it felt like the motel was not maintaining and improving their units, just running it.

Next time will look elsewhere to stay before coming back to this motel.

This motel and restaurant is located a bit north of the Hellgate Tram ride. The four of us stopped in for a snack and coffee. The fellow was quite friendly and service was good - he seemed to be the only one there. The restaurant is old but seemed reasonably clean.

They do not have public washrooms (restrooms) and the door is plastered with signs saying that there is a $5 charge to use them if you don't purchase anything from the restaurant!

We looked over the menu but since none of us was really hungry we settled on sharing a piece of berry pie which was okay. I had water but my friends said the coffee was fine.

We wandered around outside and looked at the motel. From the outside it looked fine but we didn't go inside any of the rooms. There are some pretty murals on the outside walls and I took a picture of the one with a St Bernard in it since we have a St Bernard!

This might be a place to get a full meal if you were staying here, otherwise, you'd probably eat in either Hope or Cache Creek.

Stayed a couple of times in 6 months ending 14NOV21. Always clean quiet, had a new competent respectful friendly onsite resident manager. Last fall I met the new owner who was rude and unfriendly. 14 NOV was "the great deluge" (The Flood of 21. Hwy#1 blocked SB & NB and I just squeaked out NB. I called the manager later to check on her, as she was by herself. Motel was full and people being turned away. Power was off. I knew she was moving away the next day. Boston Bar locked in by multiple slides. Owner could not get back from Surrey, told the manager she was to be off the property the 15t h, wanted full rate $129 for rooms with no power, no TV, no clean linen etc. There was no place for the manager to stay. Stuck there overnight the owner called the RCMP on the 16th to have her evicted. This lady worked there long shifts 6 days a week and has been treated abominably. The displaced travelers called the media the next day to complain. Under pressure, in this crisis, the owner dropped the room rate by half , had NO STAFF on for 16th and days later and still expected to get paid. There is more. In the midst of this crisis the conduct of the owner was utterly appalling. STAY AWAY!

Thank you for your review! The Manager was asked to comply with new protocols within the industry. After refusing to comply, she decided to cease her employment with us. We had a replacement standing by. Rates are adjusted based on services available to our guests and have always been reduced when services, such as electricity, are not available. A room will not be rented without clean linens. Cleaning guidelines require the use of disinfectant for all surfaces. During emergency situations we do everything possible to ensure our guests safety and well-being. We sincerely apologize for your experience with our former employee. Please give us the opportunity to ensure that your next stay is amazing!

We reserved a room here online and found it to be clean and fresh. The appliances were almost new and the office manager let us know hot water would be a while in arriving so to be patient. We were, and it finally arrived nice and hot. Wifi didn't work so I went back to the office and a new password gave us a great connection. The queen size bed was very comfortable and we slept like babies. It was really nice to have the restaurant right there at the end of the driveway and food was tasty and well-priced. I only wish there had been some sort of TV Guide as it took a while to find a news channel. This isn't a 4-star Hilton, but you'll be treated well and be very comfortable here.
