We had a fantastic stay. Beautiful, spacious rustic wooden house with stunning views overlooking the Howe Sound. Spa was luxurious, bed was very comfortable, and Celia and Stan were wonderful hosts. We loved the delicious breakfast with all the tasty homemade touches. Highly recommend to all!
If you ever visit the Sunshine Coast in British Columbia, Canada - you must stay at Arcturus Retreat B&B! Celia & Stan provided us with incredible views, delicious breakfasts & outstanding hospitality! We can't wait to go back! We spent our mornings & evenings enjoying the beautiful weather & views from their balcony. We were treated to a tasty breakfast each morning of our stay. Many of the fresh fruits & vegetables served came straight from their own garden. The beds were comfortable & the bathrooms were clean. We also had access to a large living room. My hubby & I stayed in the Black Bear room which had an amazing view of the ocean from a private balcony. My Aunt & Uncle stayed in the Grizzly Bear room which also had its own balcony. The location was close to Gibsons where we enjoyed shopped & dining. The B&B was only a 90 min. drive to our kayaking & boat tour excursions in Egmont. There was also a hot tub, but we were so busy we didn't utilize it.…
We stayed here overnight on a trip around the Sunshine Coast Circle and it was lovely. Our upstairs bedroom, the Grizzly Room, had its own balcony and views over the bay.Our hosts, Stan and Celia, were very knowledgeable, recommended places of interest to visit the next day, and friendly. They were prepared for our early arrival and ensured it was trouble free. Breakfast on the balcony was perfect and our stay was topped off with glimpses of a deer with her fauns, as well as 2 racoons in the large cherry tree in the garden. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom spotlessly clean and the room was spacious. Sadly, we didn't have sufficient time to enjoy the hot tub.
Nice view, nice people, not my cup of tea, these folks did there best to make our stay comfortable, even came into Gibsons to pick us up when we missed our bus stop. I just can’t get my head around the sticker price, $168. / night. Needs a a fair bit of work to justify the price.
From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome and everything was explained about how to get the best out of or short stay. The location is close by to the ferry with great views and was easy to find and very convenient as a base to explore further along the Sunshine Coast
