This pub is really excellent. A warm welcome.A splendid choice of food of the traditional English fare very well cooked and served attractively. Most memorable was the salad and the chips just like they used to be nice big fat ones . We thought they were better than Mr Heston Blumenthal's . They were crisp on the outside a lovely...

At Wargrave for a Wedding and stayed a night here. Central location. Good lunch before the event, champagne reception held at the pub before going elsewhere for dinner, and great breakfast. Good value, charming staff and excellent service.

You will receive a very warm welcome from Landlady Jayne and her staff. The food is all home cooked and excellent. My personal is The Lasagne and Cheesy Garlic Bread. The accommodation is high standard too. And last but no means least the superb open fire.

I'm struggling to be objective here. So let's go chronological and see how we go. First off there is no parking, other than a local council area. That's not bad by any means, and a lot cheaper, than your normal overnight council run car park. Anyway, we got to Wargrave just after 4pm, and Jayne was an absolute star, she...

This pub is situated in the heart of a pretty riverside village. It looks and feels hundreds of years old. A very traditional English experience. It is tastefully decorated inside with old books, arty decoration and pretty wild flowers which all adds to the cosy and welcoming ambience. It's very welcoming in the winter as it has a large open...
