A very well-maintained and pretty place. Check-in was quick & easy, and we were escorted to our room in short order. We didn't get into any of the buildings we asked for, but ours (27) was good. The only complaint was that it's by the main road, and you'll hear traffic. It's not a very heavily traveled road, but you'll...

We came from the uk with 3 boys. We were worried about the distance (9hr flight plus 3.5hr transfer) and although it was a long way it was worth it. A lovely peaceful resort in beautiful surroundings. But better for 2 weeks than just one. The rooms were lovely and kept spotlessly clean. The restaurants have stunning beach views and...

Enjoy the resort or see the sites; it's worth it! The staff is wonderful and the stay was quite lovely. Ramón or sine, you'll have a fun time. If you dont speak the language, there are several people who are willing to help--a language barrier is never a problem.

My husband and I travelled to GBP El Portillo the first week of April. The resort was beautiful. Employees were constantly working around the resort to keep it clean and the grounds picture perfect. Staff was very friendly. We ate at the Brazilian and the Italian restaurants. The food was excellent. We had rain the first evening and the rest...

Visited for 10 days March 18-28, the resort was full on arrival. Checking-in was... an experience, they seemed overwhelmed and somewhat disorganized. I had emailed them twice and my travel agent had requested a 2nd or 3rd floor room for health reasons. What do we get, a ground floor, smelly, damp room. Took 2 days and continuously going to the...

Room was amazing! We upgraded to Royal golden. Well worth it! Computer in our special lounge. 4 al a carte reservations in stead of 3. Snacks and beer in fridge daily. Lovely people who work there. Some only speak " restaurant english" so they could take your order but not necessarily answer a question from the menu but they were...

The beaches were fantastic. The water was so clear you didn't need snorkel gear. You could stand in the water and see the fish. Rooms were nice. We stayed in Villa 27th which was noisy due to being by the main entrance. Restaurants were okay. Really enjoyed the Brazilian restaurant. Buffets seemed to have same foods at lunch and breakfast....
