We had 6 days in pure paradise. Fishing is fantastic and everyone and everything in and around the lodge makes you feel very welcome. A true wilderness experience. The scenery is awesome and if you can’t get enough of hard pike strikes - this is THE PLACE!

This is a very special place. Perfect mix of seclusion, amenities of home, and great fishing! Zack, Jesse, Moose the camp dog and Larry the camp cat do everything they can to make you feel welcome. The cook and shore staff keep you full and happy in camp and a troupe of stellar guides get you to, and keep you on, amazing NWT fish.

If you are looking for outstanding scenery, trophy fishing, and hospitable staff of guides, camp personnel, then Lac La Marte is for you! The lake is 1000 square miles in size. However, you will not see any other fisherman, NO camps, NO cottages, NO sailboats, etc. On our August 2023 trip my son and I have had 6 days of fabulous fishing for trophy Lake Trout and Northern Pike. Unbelievable experience! Fished the second week in June 2023. Amazing fishing. Great guides, food, accommodations are a bit rustic, but you’re only in your cabin to sleep. It doesn’t get dark, and you can fish after dinner if you want. Every person there was a pleasure to meet and spend time with.

Second time coming to Lac La Martre. First trip was 2019. Fishing is spectacular! What makes the experience so wonderful are the guides. We had same two guides from previous trip and one new one. They know the lake, entertaining, knowledgable and safe. Came back one evening in heavy winds and big waves. Adam knew what he was doing and kept us calm. Zach and Logan the other two guides were great! Zach has been guiding there for many years. He also is the manager. Keeps the place functioning at a high level. We will continue to come back if the guides continue to come back as well. Without the core team of guides this place can’t continue as it has. The lodge is under new management. They are in charge from a distance which worries our group. Hopefully they will continue to let the team do their stuff and keep offering an exceptional fishing experience.

Great fishing. Good attentive guides and friendly staff. Many trophy nortthern pike. If you like catching lots of fish this is the place to go. Bringing an even larger group in 2025 to experience this great fishery.
