Friendly and attentive welcome, nice breakfast on the terrace, very good dinner (to order if Moqueca or similar) Very (too) basic bathroom in family suite but superb view (watch out for mosquitoes on the balcony in the evening and early morning!!)

Sobre as ondas: Is a unique place. For those of that remember brazil form the old times , this is a place that you should go. And those that have never been , this is a special place . Is not a fancy place. The sea food is great . There you have to take time to: calm down, enjoy life, nature, read, walk, no stress and talk to the owner Neusa . She is great. The rooms are all different and have ceiling ventilation, you have ocean view. As a matter of fact , you are on top of the water, It s amazing. Picinguaba is a preserved fishing village. So this is the reason that you will nor find new constructions there. It Is like old times . I really recommend you this little pousada : Sobre as Ondas . You will be there in the best place to be to enjoy all about Picinguaba, at a fair price .

Wow !! You have described this amazing place perfectly !! I Elizabeth and my husband Luiz Claudio are the newest administrators of Pousada Sobre las Ondas, we have been here for 2 months and I assure you that much has already changed and for the better! Even the daily values! Here I leave my apologies for what happened previously. I hope you accept our invitation to return to the inn and check it closely. Stay here, my embrace! And thanks for understanding. We have a page "On the waves Inn and Restaurant". Visit! Thanks for the compliment! Hugs Elizabeth (administration)

I discovered Picinguaba years ago, ans recently came back. Nice surprise to see that this fishermen beach didn't change. A place where the time has stopped and allow you to relax. No stress, particularly in Neusa company. She's wonderful, telling you stories, cooking, taking care of you in the same time. The fresh seafood she serves is delicious. We had a Polvo a vinagrete nota 10. The rooms are confortable, and the view top !
Ola Neusa, se um dia vc quer se aposentar, me chama. Abraços e tudo bom pra vc.

Excellent, we recommend the Pousada Sobre las Ondas de Picinguaba, it has the best view of the neighborhood... The village is for people who seek Peace and Sossego. The Pousada is on foot in the sand, the car does not reach the door, but the parking lot is quite close. The cabbage island is fantastic.

Comfort, leisure and tranquility. An experience worth every penny. Everything went perfectly well. Super indicate and recommend. For those who have a child is extremely indicated. My son loved and we're already marking the next one. No doubt he will be with this team again.

Me and my girlfriend had dinner and breakfast there. The view is amazing and the food (specially the breakfast) is outstanding! New owners are super caring and are doing their best to make the place awesome. The rooms are very nice, some with amazing view to the ocean. Next time I go to Picinguaba I will definitely stay there!

The view from the front rooms over the sea is outstanding! Breakfasts are copious, Neusa la patronne is a character, and son Antonio is the model of courtesy and helpfulness. The sea really does wash in beneath the window!

I am always VERY honest in my reviews, so I will be here too, unfortunately:
It is never, under any circumstances, worth the price
Pros: beautiful place, the village in which it is located is not particularly beautiful and its beaches are dirtier due to fishing. The town is also very expensive, as commerce is basically exclusive to tourists. However, the nearby Couves Island is truly a spectacle. Still, unfortunately, Couves Island is being destroyed by boat tourism that dirty the water and bring a number of tourists that the island cannot accommodate and, even more so, by predatory fishing. We even found a dead baby dolphin on Couves beach. A feather. Another pro is the service provided by the dear Melissa and João, who single-handedly go out of their way to take care of everything at the inn, and do so with great care.
Cons: extremely rude, rude and clueless owner, does not know how to take care of her customers so that they return and even refuses them filtered water. A lot of lack of care. The rooms and the inn as a whole are old, there are even patches in the ceiling lining and holes in the wood on the floor. At one point I stepped on the drain in the shower stall - which, by the way, is so small that it barely fit there - and it broke. I informed the employees, who informed me that their management had told them to simply leave it without a drain, that after our stay they would replace it. The room is, at most, equivalent to a guesthouse room costing 120 reais per night. Breakfast is simple, just toasted bread with cheese and turkey breast, melon and a cupcake. I had to ask for the egg, otherwise I wouldn't have it. There were no drinks. Pretty weak indeed.
Anyway, I reiterate that I travel to all states in Brazil, and I have never seen such low cost-benefit as this, much less such a lack of tact with guests. Not worth it, not going back and not recommending it.

The place is horrible, it's at the end of the beach, on top of the rocks, the place has a horrible smell, full of vultures next to a table, the inn is dirty, I wouldn't recommend it because the beach was very dirty, full of bars, it was poorly maintained, Don't go, you'll regret it, far from everything... the road is full of potholes

I spent a wonderful weekend in the guest house over the waves of Picinguaba, simple and cozy place, with a wonderful view, clean and comfortable rooms, wonderful breakfast coffee! It was an amazing experience, I will come back more often!
