Detailed Reviews
We love staying at La Glaciere! Rooms are very clean and in the same building with the restaurant & full bar; 3 delicious home made meals (including specials and delicious desserts) each day with full breakfast (to order) included in room rate. Lionel and Gaton are wonder owners and provide the highest quality service to their guests. They cater nicely to their snowmobiling clients, and provide high security in their parking lot and enclosed corrale for nightly sled storage. Great vacation at Auberge La Glaciere!

The location was very convenient with 3 trails leading out from the parking lot. The host Lionel was very gracious and helpful. The rooms were clean and efficient. The restaurant served very good food and homemade soup without a long delay. Our package included breakfast and the room. I stayed there twice this winter and will return again next year. We found the trail conditions to be mostly excellent. There is a closed barn in which to keep your sleds in at night. There is gas available also

Had an excellent getaway. Clean rooms and great food. Lionel and staff were more than willing to help out in any way needed. The “sled shed” made for great storage for the machines overnight. Our group requested “off the menu” food on two nights as suggested by Lionel and it was great!! Lots of good fun!!

Rooms are clean but extremely dated and very basic for the price. No WiFi which is an issue as I have a business to monitor remotely and cell service is non-existent. If you want WiFi you have to be in the restaurant or bar (surprise surprise). When we arrived we were starving so decided to go down to the restaurant. French Onion Soup was $18.95 and Smoked Meat sandwich was $25.95. I figured well....they must be large portions or at least very good. neither was the case.....it was a joke. The sandwich was a few slabs of smoked meat in between 2 pieces of Wonder bread and a handful of fries. Soup was low quality/quantity and a small bowl for $18.95!!! wow did we ever feel like we were being gouged.
This is the 1st time in Quebec snowmobiling for 30+ years I actually felt like I was gettting ripped off. I have read other comments about Lionel the owner and I have to agree. Not a very approachable guy and always too busy to help.

I have been visiting this place for years now and always have a great time with my son. There are several lakes you can choose from. The fishing is good and we often catch our quota. The roads are easy to travel. The hostel is quite comfortable and the restaurant on site is very good. It is open on Fridays for dinner and on weekends. We are always warmly welcomed. Thank you Janel and Gaetane

First off, this is a very SAFE motel with SECURE parking for both Sleds and Truck/Trailer. My friend and I went up there for a snowmobile trip. We usually stay a bit further up in St. Zenon, but that place was full and we are sure glad it was ! La Glaciere is excellent. Our rooms were super clean, warm and comfortable. The on-site restaurant was perfect for breakfast and dinner. There is also a bar and TV. In fact, I was able to watch US broadcasts in the room with excellent reception. I am from New Hampshire and have been snowmobiling in Canada many times, so take it from me, this is an EXCELLENT, SAFE & CLEAN motel that wont disappoint. If you have ever thought of going up there (and you should). La Glaciere is place !!!

Booked 2 nights. The maid laid an unused towel on my bag and never cleaned the room. It’s not America people. This hotel has 2 people running it and their rude. I don’t know if its the language barrier or I suspect their overworked. Lack of help, communist country, etc. Canadian people steal your sleds and everything you got of they can so be careful. Pay for everything in cash. The owner has to pull his truck in front of the corral at night to keep Canadians from stealing your sled. Apparently, Polaris sleds are high dollar as there parts are worth a lot. Do not not park in the corral. Overall I would not ever go here again or anywhere near there although the trails were good albeit bring an extra fuel can as the fuel stops can become third world country like.

I went on a snowmobile trip in March 2019 and stayed at this place. I found it to be very clean, affordable and great service. The owners are very friendly and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. I will definitely be back.
