Booked 4 nights in a beach front apartment and hoping for a nice 4 night, well deserved relaxing trip. Room was what we expected, apart from only 5 tv channels available (all channel 9 related) and could not pick up the free wifi offered. Turned into Party Central when we found out there was a wedding on the rooftop. As...

John_Sarayi, General Manager at Sarayi Boutique Hotel, responded to this review

Hi CLD1975, Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your stay. I am glad that your Ocean View apartment was what you expected. The shortage of TV channels was due to a recent change across Cairns that impacted some of the rooms in the hotel. A simple re-tuning of the TV set has now remedied the...

Arrived tired and were disappointed with room which needed a good clean. We did not get a good sleep on any of the three nights we stayed. We were too hasty in choosing this hotel and will not return.

The Sarayi is a great place in a lovely part of FNQ. The Manager, John, is very friendly and helpful and its slap bang in the middle of Palm Cove. The rooms are fine, although the ones on the ground floor can be a bit noisy.

I recently stayed 5 nights at the Sarayi hotel and had a pleasant experience. John, the manager was great to deal with as soon as I arrived and throughout my stay, he always referred to me by my first name like I was a friend of his so that was very welcoming. He gave great suggestions for which tour companies...

Our room had an amazing sea view and was very spacious. Well equiped with everything a couple would need to be self catering. We felt it could be noisy as we were located...

Just checked out of a great (although short) stay with Sarayi. I particularly want to mention the exceptional service of John at reception who helped me on various occasions by going above and beyond. For starters, I was able to check me in early, even though my partner had booked the room, when her flight was delayed. He also helped...

Stayed for 6 nights in July 2014 in the garden view rooms, our experience was as follows: -Very limited housekeeping, bed linen not changed until after third night. -No towel exchange at all on one day, dirty glasses and cups left on bench, toiletries not replaced. -Floor not swept at all, sand underfoot. -Water lays on shower floor away from...

I would've liked to have loved Sarayi, but I don't. Indication to the hotel parking is not clearly marked. It cannot be accessed from the front of the hotel and there are no signs that I saw that showed where to park (behind). The reception is not manned beyond a certain hour and so you have to enter some password...

My son's wedding in May 2014 was a huge success despite the unpredictable weather. The Sarayi team were wonderful in their expertise and patience and met all our requests with a smile. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and the food was great. Thank you all so much. Chris P
