Just left the YHA in airlie beach! We were caught up in the lead up to cyclone Debbie. The management here are amazing and made sure everyone was going to be safe and looked after if they had to stay through the cyclone! The hostel itself is kept clean and tidy. The rooms are nicely air conditioned and clean. Unfortunately...

We stayed here for 4 nights in a private room. The room itself was really small and felt like jail cell! We had a major problem with ants, and asked the management if they could clean it which they agreed to, but they never actually did. You have to pay for the wifi, but its really not worth it as...

Excellent location, room fantastically equipped and sized for needs, nice swimming pool and good kitchen area. Staff helpful. Nice balconies on rooms make a difference. Hostel clean throughout. Would recommend

This is an older property, but the room seemed fine and clean enough. (Though the fake tan stains could do with being cleaned out of the mattress protectors.) However, I can only think my mattress was upside down because I could feel the springs even at the very edges. It made for a very uncomfortable, bruise-inducing night. (I had to...

We have just checked out of Airlie beach YHA where we spent 3 nights. Probably the worst hostel we have ever stayed in throughout our travelling experience! It's dingy, dark, stains over the bed sheets and bathroom is gross. The blonde lady in reception was very nice and I observed her being very patient with another person staying here who...

I stayed in yha airlie beach for 2 nights with my boyfriend. The location was really good - its only a 10 min walk to the bus station - its in the main street where all the bars and restaurants are and the room (8 beds) was big enough!! There was also a balcony, a swimming pool and a kitchen...

This hostel was basic but nice enough. Room was clean and spacious (8 bed) and had a balcony and air con. Bathroom was not the cleanest but I think that was just from 8 people using it throughout the day. Kitchen was large and easy to use. Pool was clean and the location was great for the main street and...

The hostel is in a great central location but that really is about the only positive. We stayed in a private room and the room was a bunk bed not a double as advertised. The bathroom was completely filthy and I don't think it was cleaned once during our three night stay. The car park is a good facility but...

All our visits at the reception were pleasant, storing our luggage during a 3-day Whitsunday island trip was smooth and everything else was ok too. The budget double room we had offered a good night sleep. Room itself was spacious but bare. The in-yard swimming pool in a shady corner seemed a bit useless. Wifi worked well. Note! They have...
