A family run B&B with 5 star service. Easily booked via the internet with good directions to the accomodation. Friendly welcome by the owners who went out of their way to help accommodate our daughter and partner at very short notice. Rooms were spacious, spotless and extremely comfortable with a/c and fan. Breakfast was served on the terrace with a...

Island View B&B was really beautiful and the hosts so friendly and helpful in giving information or advices about what I could have done. I wonder if everybody is the same in Australia. BTW...breakfast was very rich and various. Thank You!

four of us stayed for two nights in the two bedroom apartment, it was large, modern and had a great large balcony looking out over the islands. it Takes about ten minutes to walk to the nearby restaurants and bars on the sea front. Steve greeted us as we arrived, gave us good advice on where to eat, we found...

We are seasoned travellers who don't mind paying for quality. This however was disappointing. Our booking was poorly handled from the start and when we finally arrived the booking couldn't be located. However, that was eventually sorted out.The apartment itself is well appointed with great views. However breakfast was very average consisting of: pre packaged cereal, orange juice, pre packaged...

We enjoyed a very relaxing and comfortable few days at the Island View Bed and Breakfast in Airlie Beach. The accomodation is out of the main town - about 10 minutes walk - and is up quite a steep hill, as are many of the properties in Airlie Beach. However, the price of the struggle up the hill is more...

My wife and I stayed 4 nghts. at Island View, and enjoyed every second. Why? First reason is the host Karren. We felt we were her personal guests, and she treated us like we were invited by her. Second reason a very spacious room, with the most beatiful view over the sea. Again we felt like we had a room...

We are regular travellers, mature, but travel light and young and have stayed in many B&B's before. We booked Island View on the internet which had the location and facilities we wanted e.g. swimming pool. We had booked a 2 room unit and on arrival found that the room is across the road and down the street - not close...

The swimming pool is for B&B guest's use. Guests staying in the self contained apartment (20m down the road) are offered the use of the B&B pool to save walking into town for a swim. We apologise for any confusion here. The 'permanent residents above' have now moved on, however this was an isolated incident celebrating a grandchild's birthday. Thank...

From the time that we started considering the Island View, Karren was a resource and a great representation of what a bed & breakfast can be when it's done RIGHT. She even helped us to book a sailing trip that took days away from the number of days we'd be staying at the IVBB - which just proves that her...

Very comfortable b and b with friendly atmosphere and magical views over Airlie Beach and the distant Whitsunday Islands. Although perhaps slightly on the pricey side (Kings Suite was $160), it has a beautiful pool which gets a fair amount of sunshine in the morning and early afternoon. The simple but sustaining breakfast was served on a wonderful terrace and...

“Not many to choose from but I'm sure they are all good and all much the same as each other. Some are a bit bigger than others that's all but I think there are only four rooms anyway.”

“All rooms (3 only) face the ocean and overlook the pool which is available for customer use. Breakfast is served on an open verandah overlooking the pool with views to the ocean. I paid around Aus$100 per night, thinking it was a little expensive for a B&B, once inside the cleanliness, standard of furnishings comfort of the rooms dispelled any doubt it was first class as was the service and friendliness of the owners”
