Jean and her family was very friendly and welcoming which we needed after a long slog from Richmond through the Vale of Mowbray on the Coast to Coast journey. The house has a real "home from home" family atmosphere which included a lovely home cooked evening meal. The room was beautifully furnished and decorated with a modern bathroom. The staircase...

We booked into here on our Coast 2 Coast walk and were delighted with the welcome. We were greeted by both Jean and her daughter Carolyne and they offered to make all 6 of us travelers a delicious dinner. The pub wasn't serving that night and we were treated to a delicious salmon dinner with lots of veg and fresh...

We were made to feel so welcome. This is the second time we have stayed here. Both times whilst walking the Coast to Coast and have enjoyed it both times. The meal and breakfast were very good and excellent value. The house was clean and homely. We really enjoyed our stay.

We where welcomed as old friends. Tired having walked many miles in wet conditions, it was a welcome relieve to stop and be welcomed. Food as ever home cooked and excellent. A highlight of our walk. Thank you.

Made to feel very welcome in this family home. Good breakfast and very pleasant meal at the White Swan next door. Our only grumble - our twin room was straight off the dining room and we felt it lacked privacy so ask for an upstairs bedroom.

A good stop on the C-C. Jean was a great character! Nothing was too much trouble. The stairs are very narrow and steep if you have heavy cases to drag up. Our bedroom was a twin with 3 beds in. Spotlessly clean. The bathroom next door was for our sole use and had had a corner bath with unlimited hot...

Friendly welcome and comfortable. 4 of our walking group stayed here and gave it the following score: 5, 6, 6, and 4. Danbe Wiske is only a very small place with a pub where we went for our evening meal. Rooms were clean and comfortable, beds were good and we had a good breakfast.

Visited for one night on coast to coast walk. Owners daughter helpful with drying wet clothes. Room small and felt like a converted dining room which it probably was, situated off the kitchen.Too much fitted in to be a comfortable twin room.Vertical blinds did not keep light out and as I was sleeping practically on the window sill I was...

Stayed here on part of our Coast to Coast walk. Nice friendly welcome. Place to put muddy boots. Nice comfortable room, we used it as a twin but it had three beds in it, might be a bit of a squeeze for three. Bathroom located next door with nice big corner bath, shower and toilet. Nice kitchen area for our...

Lovely B&B with the most friendly and helpful host Jean. I had a downstairs room which was nicely furnished and had a nice shower and breakfast was substantial with a good buffet and hot food cooked to order. Right across the road from the pub where we had evening meal. The only slight issue was that my bedroom was a...
