My two children (18 & 15) spent two nights here last week. Karen (Steve was away) catered for out every need. They have set up the beautiful old mansion with such loving care, with such attention to detail and amazing thoughtfulness to their guests. During our delicious silver service breakfast (which was cooked to order!) our conversations with Karen were...

My wife and I were here for a night during our road trip around Tassie. Penghana is a wonderful old house overlooking Queenstown. Steve and Karen were the perfect hosts. We didn't get the chance to get the full tour and run down on Penghana, however what we did see and here about this historical house was very interesting. The...

We had a fabulous time with Karen & Steve. Penghana is such a special place to stay. Perched high on the hill over looking the town this beautiful spacious B&B is so full of history and a great place to unwind, relax and be spoilt. Make sure you ask Steve for an Attic tour so you can see where the...

we were the only guests and stayed in the spacious Huxley room after a long drive on a cold and wet day. Our room was warm and comfortable and the house has a rich history and many fascinating memorabilia. We thank you for your kind review and hope that you return again to the west coast of Tasmania soon. As well as the West Coast Wilderness Railway that you enjoyed, there is a company, Queenstown Heritage Tours, who can guide you, for example, on a "Lost Mines and Ancient Pines" tour or take you to Lake Margaret Hydro Electric...

Staying at Penghana has made working away from home a pleasure. Penghana hosts Karen and Steve ensure guests are warmly welcomed and accommodated in comfortable, tastefully decorated rooms keeping with the history of this beautiful old home. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Breakfast is served in the grand dining room, as is dinner by prior arrangement.

We spent two nights at Penghana in the Owen room, which is a very large room and is furnished with beautiful antiques. Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful with dinner recommendations and produced a hearty breakfast. There is guest parking and a short cut by foot to the town centre (don't forget to take a torch).

My family had a very pleasant stay with Steve and Karen. They were helpful with finding local attractions, and were great with the kids. Penghana is a beautiful old homestead, and is nicely decorated. Our room was spacious and private, with an excellent view over Queenstown and surrounding countryside. We will be back again next time we visit Queenstown.

Thanks so much for your comments. We certainly are enjoying our new business and the guests we meet.
